  • I wouldn't rule out possible blackmail or extortion either.

  • Usually around 6 months, but they pulled some shenanigans to make it shorter somehow, but i dont really know the specifics in this case.

  • A lot of people really dont understand this.

SpaceX got the money. Its on their balance sheet.

Everyone who bought at $135 IPO price was giving money to SpaceX.

Everyone since then is just trading shares between each other.

The real shitshow starts once insiders can sell, until that happens we wont really know what price the market will settle at.

  • Our windmills arent actually windmills, they're fans, and we're blowing all the smoke at you!

  • 100% that too.

  • So like, sure Trump might love to fly in this and have some wink wink nudge nudge... okay well ignore that part, has a blatant deal with them, I can't imagine how any other president/vice-president would ever fly in it. You could never really trust that the Qatari couldn't somehow disable the plane at will.

  • Look at congress DEI'ing the sun of all things.

  • If it was accurate enough, and they kinda knew, but hadn't fully acknowledge it themselves yet, you might out them to themselves even?

  • And then ill still forget their names and have to ask and be awkward

  • That was such a good movie.

Edit: i also liked Margin Call which is a fictional story about some traders seeing what was about to happen in 2008 and how they responded because of it in 1 night.

  • How dare you steal hundreds of dollars by installing contraband ram!

  • Claude did back out contracts over a disagreement on military use and the government try to blacklist them, so you never know they might speak up if they were flat out lying to the people like that and they saw the fingerprints.

  • Something got reported on incorrectly because the M5 Max's have 614 GB/s today, and the Ultra M4 machine's (not laptops) are 819 and that's 3 generations behind a M7 if they make an M7 ultra machine.

$ for $ you'll get more video ram than paying for a 5090, but it won't be as fast and can't train well.

Before the ram price decable, you could get a 192gb M4 Ultra for ~10k CAD.

  • Ya, these high memory amounts and ever increasing memory bandwidth are heavily (but not only) targeting people wanting to run local large AI models like a full deepseek on their machines.

You might not be able to train as well on them as NVIDIA + CUDA, but for local inference, they're an alternative to NVIDIA and more reasonably priced for the model sizes you can run, and each iteration they get better as the bandwidth increases.

  • Apples memory has never been cheap, it's always been a very expensive upgrade.

  • I would laugh so hard if OpenAI or Claude came out after this was released and they said it had their fingerprints all over it, and after looking up the prompts they were used to help fabricate it all.

They're that dumb, it's totally possible.

  • They do that as well, but its so annoying they probably just hold it back unless extra verification is needed.

  • Oh did they stop that entirely? I remember areas being unavailable in the past.
