  • Yeah I am having too much friction getting Fusion360 to work on my Linux Mint, I know there are methods but with the registration as a hobbyist and using a container.... Got too much, you can blame me as a user not being invested enough to get it working, and installed FreeCAD from the Linux store hassle free.

The quirks I can work around, sometimes it makes me go back and redesign another iteration to avoid the quirk and then also improve my design as a bonus

  • I use it regularly for my 3d printer, nice simple software, but be warned it has quirks...

Still able to do 90% of the stuff I want to do

  • In real life, I would have loved dogs tearing up Pavlov after reading what he actually did

  • Living in South Africa, I had to reluctantly get a gun, hate it but after they shot my neighbours leg off through her daughter's window I knew I had no choice because I had 3 other women living with me.

I will call it a successful gun ownership if I never have to use it, I really do not wish to be placed in that situation.

Having seen people be killed by firearms in front of me, the police's apathy as they were giggling at me when they saw my red eyes and saying it's what rural poor people do (I think it was their way of comforting me).

Some gun owners are reluctant owners, but really when you have as high a violent crime and murder rate as we do, you have to make a difficult choice.

  • Like then at least their assets would have been sold to cover their losses. This way your government is not socialism but it is choosing who are the winners, since they cannot lose

  • Bailing out companies is also not capitalism, ideally should have left them then to go bankrupt

  • The housing market crash, I believe was a lost opportunity. When the US government had to bail out banks, why did it not ask for those houses that went belly up. Could have started a social housing aid, here it could sell luxury homes to buy low cost housing to give to its most vulnerable citizens. It paid for those houses using people's tax dollars, why not use it for the benefit of the people

  • They wanted to see if there were any cut corners that could help explain the low cost other than government funding and the general low cost of labour in China. Did not find any cut corners during their teardown and sang the cars praises.

  • A nice hearty soup. Can basically travel the world because it can feed you and hydrate you when you cannot find water or sustenance. And I think it is healthy enough to not kill you if you survived on it for the last 3 months, might be wrong.

But most importantly it will not take away your pleasure of better food, such as pizza, which after three months only eating pizza, you will be tired of it for the rest of you life

  • How did the marriage ceremony go, who officiated the marriage, was it a religious leader or another type of official. I am really curious because I want my Christian GF to have the wedding of her dreams and I am not sure how to approach the topic. I have no issues but I am scared a pastor or similar might have because I am atheist

  • Imagine the guy that had to go down the slide in front of their glorious leader, like think even in front of your own president you had to take a waterslide, have them take a picture to share to the world

  • Yeah the Melania strategy doesn't always work, probably gonna beat Carter's record

  • Is this not good, does it not mean we have moved past the population growth boom and to a more stable population.

In fact less humans would be better for basically everyone, Earth included, except people that need more people to fuel their greed. Look at the black plague and how that brought prosperity afterwards.

  • This cool microscope, is Harvard going to keep it for themselves or are they planning to share the equipment with the rest of the scientific community

  • I cannot speak for this area of science, but in my field China's research papers, for example rock mass failure response to complex stress states, are like a god send, really quality work. This is my opinion in my field but if I had to extrapolate... Remember the Soviets with all their propaganda had amazing scientists

  • Yeah, it is insane once you have family members who have started to sip from the kool-aid. I feel like it is a lost cause, even when you have objective proof, they say their feelings still triumph your evidence

  • Jeez is this an ad, I thought my pop-up blockers were strong, clearly this site has shown me that their ad kungfu is stronger.

My advice, stay the fuck away from this ad infested website

  • If they are doing work, they should be paid

  • Something like this is an excellent idea. I understand for the proper functioning of a democracy is to have its citizens fully informed, but the rest of the world is not a citizen of the USA. Yes I still want to know the important stuff since our world is a connected world, but do I really have to see how the POTUS is holding a water bottle weirdly, or that they like Dijon mustard on their hot dog or tripped on a stair and now their age is in question.

My country has significantly more problems that are more relevant to myself, just like every other person from another country, and being bombarded by USA politics is exhausting and quite frankly a waste of my time and mental health.
