  • As someone about to hit late 40's I can give some applicable advice here. I manage two over 30 teams, a coed and a mens team. I play on both and pick up games when invited. I've had a long list of injuries but always come back.

You do need to change how you play, the competitive part has to drop down a bit, basically let the younger peeps have those 50-50 balls, don't go for headers that have any kind of pace, avoid contact with players you know are willing to injure you.

But most importantly, go to physical therapy and collect the appropriate workout. Hit that workout 3-5 times per week and don't stop. If you can't get your workouts in, don't play that week.

  • Prusa XL is legit good.

  • I know your budget us $300ish but I'd try to get your hands on a prusa. Used mk3's might be near that price point. But the mk4 prints so much faster.

The entire prusa ecosystem is awesome, almost every part is printable or easily replaced.

  • Still, isn't this just biting the hand that feeds you? Whatever...

  • Wait, isn't openai basically reliant in Microsoft for hosting as well as most of their product offerings? And doesn't Microsoft own LinkedIn? Or am I out of the loop.

  • I printed one of the ukuleles on printables.

I designed my own wall hooks, those are pretty great.

Made a stove knob to replace the broken one on my range.

Made a shelf for my freezer out of petg because the original one didn't fit properly and kept falling.

But the crown for me is a dentist office had this little bite block that people would bite down on when they did a 360 xray. The company wasn't making it anymore so they were cleaning it and reusing it. I bought some of that anti bacterial pla and reverse engineered the bite block. Mine wasn't perfect but it was close enough. Made them like 75 of them.

  • Eat mor plants. But like, FR.

  • Yes. Also yes... And yes...

  • I'd read the article if you haven't already. It doesn't describe if it's travel or print speed but it does give some other metrics like 40,000mms^2 acceleration. There is a sentence that reads: high-flow hotend capable of pushing 50mm³ of filament per second.

  • Ahh yup hadn't had my coffee yet, good catch

  • Yeah that's a really tall first layer. What size nozzle are you using? I have an XL and the default for a .4mm nozzle is .20mm. I'll sometimes go .24 or .25 but never higher

  • Most people aren't responding to the specifics of that board, but even though it's old it's still PCIe x16 and will work with a lot of modern cards. The cards of it's era were things like the nvidia 1660 or any of the AMD Radeon 6000x series would be fine. As others have said you'll need to ensure your PSU is able to provide enough power, and that your cpu might not be able to provide enough data. So anything past that era might be pointless.

  • Great list! Thank you. I just stumbled across this beast today and thought I might post it back to this thread.

  • Yes, this is what I'm looking for. Thank you.

  • Awesome! Thank you, I'll check it out.

  • Yeah aging wheels is great. I'll take a look at Flexiny

  • RCS isn't good enough. There is only one app that it works on. Sometimes, no... often it just doesn't work. I'm currently starring at a thread that used to work, but now I can't send messages too. I made it! Everyone had rcs.

    Fuck the whole thing.

  • Elites suggests they are somehow better. Wealth parasites suggests they are similar to ticks sucking the blood of society.
