Linkin Park + Shitty last name + I think the number was random 20+ years ago

  • Any particular models I should look out for? I'm kinda thinking from the perspective of the mythic i5 2500k, that is. Curious if what you've personally used is something I should consider.

  • So I couldn't use Docker on my Synology as it wasn't compatible, but I did try to try to use Docker, but it was most definitely a test install trying to squeeze Jellyfin and HA onto an 8GB card... yeah that didn't work (I didn't try too hard). I've heard of Docker Desktop, but sounds like it was not well received.

  • Yeah, I think I'm willing to go Intel if there's that much a performance gap. I'll look into the Lenovo option, although I'm not sure I'm the best use case for it. Still, thank you for the suggestions! Any particular models, or is it really down to newer = better? Besides the basic moar RAM, moar CPU, but actually I'm quite ootl with the naming conventions with non-desktops procs.

  • Ah crap, I was wrong on that. I have it in RAID1. My bad, I've corrected my OG post.

  • Huh, I guess I shouldn't be surprised it had a name :P

And yeah, I can't imagine it to be a comfortable procedure. Sounds way worse than when I got my tonsils out.

  • Have a weird nub of bone protruding from my lower jaw under the tongue. Like a little skin covered spike.

Oh, also have a "hair" (maybe more like a mole?) on each side of my abdomen that when agitated, I get a sharp pain on the inside of the corresponding elbow.

  • Both, unless the person in the picture has five fingers and no thumb. It seems like an "homage" to Chris (Simpsons Artist) per another comment, which is amazing in its own right.

  • Fingies.

  • There was also a pretty big chunk of Shenmue 2 that took place here. I remember getting lost a bit trying to find the classic arcade machines.

  • Ask and you shall receive. Literally popped up last night for me. How convenient. Sure, it's Minecraft, but still pretty cool.

  • 41 myself and the future scares me for too many reasons, this definitely being one of them.

  • In this situation now, kinda. Known each other 13 years, been married for ~10 years (but "separated" for the last ~3), amicably divorcing around December, and keeping the ownership of everything the same, house is plenty big for us all. We came out to each other over the past couple years, and she found her true soulmate. I'm perfectly happy living on my own for once. It's freeing, and we're besties. We see ourselves paying off the 30 year mortgage, and then seeing where our lives go.

  • They all appreciate those pats. You're lucky to know none of them would hiss at the attempt. Thank you.

  • Okay who TF downvoted this?

Thank you for your kind words RS.

  • Thank you, it never gets easier, although time will heal hopefully.

  • Thank you. It never gets easier. Therapy and time helps, but yeah...

  • I hope she's bouncing around with her hyper-zoomies wherever she may be. She deserved so much more.

The one thing we know is that while she was in pain, she went fast after we took her to the emergency vet. This whole time we thought maybe it was just some bad gas, but afterward we determined she had contracted feline coronavirus (not Covid) before she was rescued with her littermates from a barn with their momma.

  • Yeah, she was my housemate's cat for the short time we had her. Before we lost Sweets not even 2 months ago, she had bonded with her as well, so this was supposed to be her 2nd chance... and while we're all devastated, she was beyond destroyed. Phil bonded with me, Riley to my other housemate, and Woflie... he's kinda the house ho, getting love from everyone. There's a chance we'll adopt again in about a year, as this pain is just too fresh.

  • Thanks, yeah I'll have to find out where we got it, but I suspect is one of those mass-produced bits that just caught on :)

Kinda reminds me of something MC Escher-ish.
