  • sounds tricky because eventually it relies on some accessible api of the banks or other place the money is at.

btw, it would be helpful if you disclose in which country you are, i guess USA, but can't be sure. this would change some aspects.

  • why would you disclose that to your employer?

  • so where are you then of not at home?

  • for me it was the fact that the desktop case i used for the server had the power button on top and it was big enough to be pushed in, when my cat walked over it...

  • oh boy, not that again

  • i never had problems with Google, but Outlook always blocks my emails, just because it's not a standard .com .net etc domain...

  • 90degrees turned

  • possibly and even then not for long. but once the dictatorship is established, it's hard to get rid of it again.

  • i might be a more typical nerd. i have a phd in physics and took a bunch of computer science course out of interest/boredom.

but i never learned anything that is really related to hosting. containers were not really a thing at the time and most courses i took were much more fundamental, like basics of networking or cpu scheduling. programming a learned on the fly to solve a problem, never as actual task in itself (what is very typical in my field and leads to horrible program code/collaboration scheme)

  • he has a plan. nobody ever claimed that it is a good plan!

  • the moment you realized why he is probably lonely

  • you don't have feet? /s

  • can't make it what the 14th word is. is it just a typo of deletion or some satanic phallus symbol?

  • with "online" you are referring to social media discussions?

  • i mean using a model to obtain certain data is fine, we did that already twenty years ago. it would just not be called citing

  • the interpretation of this one highly depends on the intonation. so writing this in text would be great

  • Wikipedia is by design not citable, unless you include the revision number, but it contains all the sources to cite.

are people actually citing AI? i wonder how that would look like, it certainly sounds like: "my mom said..."

tl;dr: i never saw a problem in using Wikipedia (even at it's beginning), but it's an awesome to to get started with a topic, same counts for AI I guess.

  • oh boy. thanks for the link

  • both is good
