transfem xennial musicianmanic pixie dream girl ;)beacon of lovebelligerently niceyes i'm bald, no i'm not a fucking nazi

too old for stupid childish games, just here to support people 💜

hi i'm joelle, a nonbinary musician from WI, USA

here's some of my music if you are curious: https://etherphon.bandcamp.com/https://soundcloud.com/etherphon

the music there right now is a tad old, but it deals with my struggles/realizations about my sexuality and gender, thus some of it is very busy and noisy because I had a lot going on in my head at the time (still do but yeah) and this sort of wall of sounds music was soothing to me at the time. I am now working on some more ambient music as well as maybe some vocal pop music :) I have a lot on my plate at the moment though

video art selfie :)

  • I don't use much with relish these days but I'll give it a whirl if in the need, thanks :)

  • huh, I contributed hundreds of hand made GIFs to tenor when I was big into Twitch, yet again the hard work of people gets eaten up by a company and closed off. Fuck you Google/Alphabet, I hope your AI eats your fucking lunch

  • I honestly think their pickles kind of suck, at least the dills aren't super great, but I will consider trying some other varieties, good job Mt Olive

  • I'm positive this is why Ford had to hire back all their engineers ;)

  • I wasn't a huge fan when I was younger, but now I can't help but like them, the guitar work is just insane and the songs are really feel good mostly

  • ohh it's an insanely difficult question since I've gone through so many music phases and now listen to almost all of them

the album I've played the most and has had the most influence on me is probably The Shamen - Axis Mutatis, The Shamen had a few big hits off their first album, this second album was more experimental and I don't think it hit as well with the party crowd, but to me it has some excellent lyrics, melodies, sound design.

Close second is Skinny Puppy - Mind The Perpetual Intercourse

  • For that we need a culture that abhors greed, not one that celebrates, respects and elects it

  • sorry all the water in this state is for cows and cranberries, and ginseng I guess, and people

  • Sure, they want to patent the extracts and make a ton. The supplement industry is rife with this now as well, patented extracts and formulations of common plants. This whole dumb society we built for ourselves is chock full of people doing things everyone knows is wrong to make money but we all look the other way since we somehow benefit, except the benefits are pretty slim these days since everything has been taken over by grifters and con men

  • My first reaction as well, I was like are you sure those are government sites, well I guess they are now. I guess it shouldn't be a surprise. What is a surprise is that people are witnessing the president who still makes very important decisions act like toddler ever day and no one seems to care

  • lol

  • Yeah, I just took it the wrong way as usual lol, I just thought in regards to the question at hand it was a bigger attitude shift from 86-06 than 06-26 but I guess it all depends on where you are talking about and all that

  • I'll go back and tell that to all the rural and suburban kids who were scared to come out in my high school in the 90s. In the cities sure that might be true, but out here not so much, you are right that the movement started much earlier though but we didn't feel the changes here. I really don't know what to say about it being cool or whatever, it was definitely never cool here so

  • I'm sure it has it's uses, not for me lol

  • 1986 to 2006 is a massive leap as far as LGBTQIA+ rights an even as far as recognizing some of those letters as actual things not to mention the whole spectrum, awareness, representation, those things have largely improved. I know it's a bit hard to reckon with now we seem to be on a backslide but trust we'll make it

  • he clearly hasn't met me, I'm very confident I can do almost anything I can put my mind to, just so long as no one is watching and I don't benefit from it :P I turn into a royal klutz under supervision

  • It's been a common sentiment for centuries, and I know this time it seems especially dire, but in the grand scheme of everything it's all just a blip anyways. Just enjoy whatever you can and make differences where you can is about all you can do. We need to build something worth fixing if we want to do anything

  • Right? I've been a huge fan of Justin Theroux since and honestly he hasn't let me down, you're right though the whole cast is just impeccable
