transfem xennial musicianmanic pixie dream girl ;)beacon of lovebelligerently niceyes i'm bald, no i'm not a fucking nazi

too old for stupid childish games, just here to support people 💜

hi i'm joelle, a nonbinary musician from WI, USA

here's some of my music if you are curious: https://etherphon.bandcamp.com/https://soundcloud.com/etherphon

the music there right now is a tad old, but it deals with my struggles/realizations about my sexuality and gender, thus some of it is very busy and noisy because I had a lot going on in my head at the time (still do but yeah) and this sort of wall of sounds music was soothing to me at the time. I am now working on some more ambient music as well as maybe some vocal pop music :) I have a lot on my plate at the moment though

video art selfie :)

  • Yeah I'm not sure what happened to Ramsay, he totally lost it, he has ads for I Can't Believe It's Not Butter now, what a total and utter sellout. Like he wasn't rich enough he has to shill? Please. have some respect, Gordon.

I used to watch the replays of the shows he made for British Television and they were so much better too

  • Ahh I see, thank you! Yeah I like that kind of homey feel the home cooking shows have compared to all the competition shows now, they're just all throwing stuff together, it's not cozy to watch lol

  • Hehe that seemed to happen a lot back then, someone found a cool sound and then other producers copied them, I recognize a lot sounds from IM, Shpongle, Hallucinogen, Astral Projection in other productions, they were very influential on the scene at the time. Glad you like Hallucinogen, check out Simon Posford's other projects too if you're interested, like Younger Brother (Flock of Bleeps, Last Days of Gravity) with Benji Vaughn is kind of a cross between psy and progressive rock, Shpongle is kind of like dub meets world music meets psy. happy listening :)

  • That older infected mushroom is a bit of a original sound, Hallucinogen is in the same class and very good, albums Twisted and The Lone Deranger. I made this playlist of what I feel are stand out goa/psy trance some years ago maybe you'll find something you'll like on it, if you don't use youtube let me know and I can make a list if you'd like

  • they seem excited to share the tale of how they did it 😄

  • This one for me too, hard work gets you nowhere without knowing people or ingratiating oneself and I am missing that gene

  • An open source piece of shit is still a piece of shit

  • Yeah I'm not saying it's all their fault either, and I am just as much of a product of that culture it's inescapable. I would agree with you there, but from the start we have always loved a story about someone coming from nothing, it's a story we have been telling ourselves over and over in this country, and while it happens it requires a great deal of support around you and that is never mentioned by anyone. It has gone way downhill since Reagan I would say, the 80s was just a supercharged consumerism culture here, which pits people against each other because when you have your neighbors competing against each other over who has the biggest house or boat or nicest car or whatever, they are spending spending spending. Lifestyles of the rich and famous, Cribs, celebrity worship, all that junk is to blame too

  • The feeling that my body is living on in spite of my mind? sometimes

  • Americans are selfish assholes, it is just a fact. I have lived here almost 50 years and that's all there is to it

  • at least I think I'm funny eh

  • Luckily for me this only affects doing things that I love and enjoy, I felt like I didn't want to force myself and then end up feeling like I turned my hobby into a chore, but maybe I could push myself a bit lol

  • looks tasty! i like simple healthy stuff like this for summer, thanks :9

when food network first came on it was all cooking shows like that, just a camera and a cook explaining what they were doing, no competitions, no guy fieri or bobby flay, I miss it so I'll check out the international ones like you said hah

  • Sure I would too, navigation is an impressive skill nowadays

  • It was a greasy job but someone had to do it o7

  • I was actually one of the people on the phone taking the orders and making pizzas, it was really a nightmare trying to listen to what they wanted over whatever was going on in the background of both the restaurant and their homes, because people are always talking to other people in the background of what they want on their pizza so you're talking to like 3-4 different people each time, because no one thought of their order in advance. You had to listen carefully too because if you made a mistake on the arcane point of sale terminal then you're in trouble because it takes 1000 keystrokes to cancel out an order on those things. Then there were always people haggling over the total, or coupons, or have special delivery instructions. Really, online ordering is basically the best use of the internet :P

  • I was one of those people :/

  • the VESA Local Bus video cards used to be about that big too

  • I'm really happy with how my body is looking, I thought I would have a skinnyfat belly forever but I've been working that off and my back fat too, from sitting so much. I have a natural waist now and my legs look great if I do say so myself
