  • Because they have more options....

  • 100% chocolate

  • So.... this the bribe they have to pay, so they can pay bribes?

  • Ive had very good experience with Macks earplugs at -33db. In noisy environments, warehouse floors, or even loud bars, I can hear people much much much better than they can hear me.

They have different colors so you can blend in, or stand out.

Also, make sure you are properly inserting the earplugs. Has a huge impact on how effective they are. I've been using earplugs for years! Before I learned how to properly put them in, and the difference was amazing

  • This

  • $25 per year, 100GiB per month, Malaysia but it works in Singapore, texts and calls cost per minute... But I never use them.

  • Plug in a dummy headphone jack. But some microphones are not disabled in hardware when that happens.

The framework laptop does have a hardware switch for that, which is nice

  • Right, but the ring around the sensor is plastic. That plastic could be red. To indicate that the camera is uncovered

  • I just use some gaffers tape to cover the camera.

One complaint I have is a lot of laptop manufacturers who do put a camera slider in, paint the slider red when it's closed and black when it's open. It should be the opposite. Red is dangerous live.

I fix it just using some enameled nail polish. But it seems opposite of what it should be

  • Eat less, move more

  • Reply As is working for me, for custom domains I setup in tuta.

  • There is no bridge

  • Makes me feel like a sucker for buying earlier..... Not great

  • Windows is enterprise, nothing else comes close if you want to manage many hundreds or thousands of computers.

Enterprise Windows has full control, everything can be automated, everything can be removed. All the annoyances you have in retail windows disappear. It's just a group policy rule, which is managed centrally, away.

Prevent users from installing apps? Lockdown what devices can be plugged in? Windows makes it possible

HyperV on windows is a super power for enterprise. Want a locked down environment, run it in A VM. Want a qubes experience, do it in hyper-V.

  • And if you're one of the people who can crack a beer open with the owners of Google, then you found your right community.

However, in the general case, I don't think these count as any individuals communities. You can't rub elbows with the people maintaining Google and Facebook. You can't talk to them about issues you're having, they're not going to dynamically modify the system for special cases that are important to your community. A community is a group of people who know each other.

  • Right. I think the real vision isn't that every single person self-hosts, but every community has somebody in it who does the self-hosting for the community. Everybody can be independent like villages instead of totally centralized like empires
