  • And the horse didn't even have a rotary engine!

  • These sort of people crack me up, because every one of them hates e-bikes because they're ”cheating". Like, dudes, we're not racing. There are a lot of hills by my house and I would literally never ride a bike if I didn't have some help going up them.

I don't see how having a motor to help you out and spending a few grand on a carbon fiber frame are much different. It's all just making it easier for you.

  • Don't worry. I'm sure if we dump even more money into AI, somehow it will all be ok.

    /s

  • It's also possible that the mascot wasn't originally a regular cat, but an already pretty sexy cat.

  • so free titty pics were appreciated I guess

    Are they ever not?

  • Damn that's a wild ass story. I just finished reading Michael Connelly's The Proving Ground which touches on the topic of liability when it AI encourages crimes. I thought the story was a theoretical scenario that could maybe happen in the future. Didn't realize this shit was already happening - and even more fantastical that the scenario in fiction!

  • Yeah that's probably a good way to think of it. She did love Chernobyl - but that might be because it was a modern retelling of a historical event. Same way that people love Stranger Things for the nostalgia, but aren't exactly going back and rewatching shows filmed in the 80s.

  • Came here to recommend Mr Robot as well. The ending of the series was perfectly planned, so it loops around perfectly to the beginning of the series. It was a nice contrast to something like Game of Thrones, where they clearly had no good ending planned and just rushed through to get something done.

I remember watching the end of Mr Robot and going "holy shit."

  • I watched The Wire for the first time a few months ago. My wife couldn't get past the first couple episodes since it's a little dated, but I am glad I stuck with it because that show was freaking phenomenal.

  • As a registered Republican woman from Texas with five children and two dogs, let me just say that I am astonished!

  • Lol could you imagine if Netflix was just like "Welp, the experiment of streaming content has ended."

  • Fuck that old lady!

Not like literally... Or I dunno, literally if you want to. You do you.

  • To flag grants for their DEI involvement, Fox entered the following command into ChatGPT: “Does the following relate at all to DEI? Respond factually in less than 120 characters. Begin with ‘Yes.’ or ‘No.’ followed by a brief explanation. Do not use ‘this initiative’ or ‘this description’ in your response.” He then inserted short descriptions of each grant. Fox did nothing to understand ChatGPT’s interpretation of “DEI” as used in the command or to ensure that ChatGPT’s interpretation of “DEI” matched his own.

Jesus Christ these people are so fucking dumb

  • Over 2 million now a few hours later. Streisand Effect in full force.

  • That guy was super well spoken and had a good message. I'm surprised I hadn't heard of him before. Always nice to see the Streisand Effect in action!

  • "It's important to differentiate between clinical addiction and problematic use," he added.

"I'm sure I've said that I've been addicted to a Netflix show when I binged it really late one night, but I don't think it's the same thing as clinical addiction."

Yeah, I dunno what article that dude read. Or didn't read, apparently.
