Not because it is on the list, but Lost is one I'd always recommend to watch. People either heard or remember about it being bad. It is not. Binging it made me understand it. This show is a masterpiece.
Not on the list - Chernobyl. Top notch short series.
Also When Life gives you Tangerines. I am not kdrama watcher, but my wife is. This series was breathtaking to watch. Really nice story telling.
I have watched both Psychonauts and Psychonauts 2 speedruns. Second one was fun cause they only had this game released for a year. So speedrunner was rubbing their bugs all over their faces during that. Hilarious watch it was.

Then I stumbled upon a streamer who was playing Rebirth sometimes. Got myself a copy. Turns out the game is fucking epic.
Detroit: Become Human. I skipped it it when it was released and totally never played it. Recently I got it on discount and tried it out. Even my wife is extremely invested in the story and she doesn't even play games.
Psychonauts. I just saw a few times this game on some top game lists and decided to try. Man, this game fucking rocks! Also, Psychonauts 2 is also epic and Compton's level should be made into a standalone game! What an epic imagination devs at Double fine have!
Rust. I was there during Beta. Me and one my friend had fun. But once Garry had remade it to what it is today, we tried to play with more people. I hate the game but it is also so much fun with friends.
Heavy modded Minecraft. Once only vanilla payer, my friends finally convinced me to play TPPI with them. Never going back to vanilla.
There was the "spiritual successor" of L4D announced. Back 4 Blood looked like a very nice and fun L4D clone with some new mechanics thrown in. I have applied for a Beta to try it out and got lucky!
Game was boring AF. Play on medium difficulty and you can't do it without real players who actually have to be decent shooters including you. Basically, enemies hit you harder and you hit them less. Same as Left 4 Dead, right? Well... In Left 4 dead you'd just shoot special infected til they drop dead. Here, some infected are impeccable unless you shoot weak spots that are so tiny you might aswell just waste all your ammo on plain shooting. And a typical non-boss special infected on medium diffciulty is like tank on expert in L4D. PvP is locked in a small area so no actual campaign pvp like in L4D.
Also, afaik, card mechanics was broken in so many ways that they only kept nerfing it from the release til they closed servers.
It all boils down to the echo chambers. People who surf web without any adblockers are usually the ones that are not tech savvy as much as the ones who would never surf without uBO. We are on Lemmy after all. This is not a "normie" social media.
I know Lemmy is a Linux echo chamber. But also, I feel like people did actually managed to move to alternative OSes or stay on Win10 cause they were fed up with NoPilot on win11.

Same for me with Steam. I used to pirate everything gaming and only once I got Steam and a steady job, pirating stopped.
As for media, nop. Pirating never really stopped. When using Netflix is much more annoying than using myflixerz.to, you wont be coming back to pay for a service that is fundamentally crap.
If it is anything like Steam, then you keep this media available to redownload as long as you wan. Same as Steam games that got delisted are still downloadable and playable.
Been using motorola for a long time. I bought Moto Z in 2016 and it booted with "Motorola company" text in the end of the boot video. After Lenovo acquisition, phone updated and video now said "Motorola, a Lenovo company".
Thankfully, Motorola haven't entshittified over these years. Still a solid phone. Almost no bloat.
I have only drove electics in car sharing. Models were Tesla Y and VW iD.3. I really liked Tesla for how fast it would speed up. But really fuck the main console and controls. Nothing is more annoying to me is 1 pedal driving (can be changed) and to look at main console to check speed. Fuck that shit with the deepest corners of my heart.
iD.3 was kind of fun. Also is quite powerful machine with lower range. Drive controls are bullcrap but at least they work. It has a better console imo and what is epic is windshield projection of speed and line assistance. Going from Tesla's "Look at the left bottom of the screen on the console" to "Just keep looking ahead while glancing slightly down on the road to check speed" is an insane difference to me. I believe SAABs had this first back in the day. It is indeed a game changer. Should really be in every car.
My city also recently had an influx of BYD electrics and it seems people like them.
LibreWolf doesn't open tabs in containers, but it is kind of hard coded to never save cookies, passwords, trackers. Every time you close and open browser, it is like to open a freshly installed browser on a freshly installed OS.
Not only used. Parents buy new phones to children and these are not cheap Xiaomis or OPPOs. Most of the time it is actually a Samsung or an iPhone, be it an older version or a new one.
