I have noticed that some sites would load my local language version even if I point out original site. E.g. southpark.cc.com would stubbornly redirect to southpark.de no matter how you tried to trick it. And, of course, some content on some sites would also report that is is unavailable in my region.
That one scene in that one specific movie doesn't really compare to modern SW movies. Prequels were not as good as original Trilogy mainly due to attempting to be modern style movies. And even original movie had this specific kissing scene that got deleted later for a very peculiar reason. We can complain about each movie. But man, nothing can beat "Somehow, Palpatine returned".
All the people who know how it supposed to be good are left by now. Only those who have no idea how good it used/supposed to be stayed. Nobody else but them cares if they say "it's good now". In other words: fanboy echo chamber.
I run Nextcloud of an NAS appstore. NAS is Asustor Drivestor 4 gen2 - Realtek RTD1619B CPU with 2GB non-expandable DDR4 ram. NAS runs couple of other services like Vaultwarden, Radarr, Sonarr, Uptime Kuma and maybe something else, I dont remember. NAS runs at around 10% CPU and 50% RAM at all times.
Nextcloud isntance is AIO and I have no choice in what type it is. There also are no other good file hosting services but Nextcloud on the app store.
Now the experience: It is slow. Slower than say Google Drive. Login page loads slow but not too slow. I would describe it as sluggish. Like if you run windows 98 file manager on a 5400rpm old drive and you just want to copy couple of files. I went to admin panel and disabled all junk that I will definitely wont run in future. That made it bit faster than before. It works but could be much snappier. Maybe in near future I will move to Opencloud or Owncloud or whatever other services that are similar experience to Nextcloud are.
In my defense, I barely use Nextcloud. It is a nice-to-have option to upload any files that I may find useful to save or/and access later. Therefore, I want to note that sluggishness of Nextcloud doesn't bother me. But I wish it would be as snappy as Immich is.
I hope devs will pay attention cause I certainly fucking do now!
I been playing Psychonauts 2 that is marked as "Playable" in Steam. And it is most certainly running better on Bazzite over Win11.
I have also tested CS2 on Bazzite yesterday and got around 120 FPS on Train while Win11 on Train was 80 FPS. I really can't believe this. With all the translation layers, Bazzite is really doing better than Windows.
In 2020 I began my studies at Uni. Our music business lecturer always had nice ppts prepared for the class and most of the time he either had couple of fidget spinner memes or "fucking magnets, how do they work" memes. Brings back memories.
Of course T2 and Jurassic Park has CGI and it holds fucking strong today still. When I was talking about no CGI, I was talking about The Thing being my fav out of the bunch because of no CGI and just looking awesome so many years later.
The Thing, Terminator 2, Jurassic Park, Alien(s), ET - just from top of my head. The Thing would be my favorite out of the bunch. No CGI, just pure and hardcore man-made effects.
I did change my surname late in high school. Maybe it is cause of my country, bur yhat was not so easy. I just wrote a letter to the birth certificate register with a good reason to do so. Once they replied with "you're good to go" I just wen to the passport issuer with that mail and changed my name. What happens next is the problem - change name in all instances - school, work, license, bank and so on.
When I was younger and less involved in this world, it was quick. Today, with all the subscriptions, payments and registrations - screw that. Too much effort.
That is assuming that someone will sit there and try to decrypt password rules for that specific person. Chances of that happening are basically 0, unless they are some sort of a high interest person.
I am super hyped about Arrs. I have configured a stack and yet to activate it. Waiting til I can install Raspberry pi with vpn in another country for an endless downloads.
All the Arr stuff is working really great already. Whats going to happen in future? Can't wait!

I never got past 3.3.5a due to pirate servers not being really well made for Cata at release and afaik still today they are poorly developed.
I really dig the idea of seamless and stitch-less world map that Cata has introduced. But I also don't dig what WotLK was at the end of the expansion. I think TBC was the last epic time to play WoW. Maybe early WotLK. To me, dungeon finder and easy battlegrounds queue is what made the game less fun. Yeah, now you do not need to /yell in town square looking for some low level dweebs for them to join your party and travel to a far dungeon for half an hour. But that was the fun part, even tho it took time and effort. Mindless parties from queue killed fun. I remember in TBC looking for a party to go to Deadmines and it was an effort. Joining dungeon finder took me a second, but fun was not there.
My cousin began on private servers and then went to official during Cata I believe. Not sure, but I think he is still playing retail as of today. From his words, game became quite fast paced and you can level up really quick in a day. The whole game play was toned down to dungeons, raids and PVP. From outside sources I got the idea that it became like what happened to Diablo 3. Gameplay during story line was nice. But once first expansion dropped with endless rifts, game became - farm better gear in order to be able to farm even more better gear. Mindless farm simulator.
I am nostalgic for the times when players were friendly with each other. Moments like high levels coming to starter zones and giving out gold and gear to newbies. Contacting local chat or guild to find some payers that will help you with a quest. Asking for tips about certain quests. Actual team-play on battlegrounds. But the thing that will never come back is the sense of discovery. It only can be experienced once.
Even as of right now, playing AzerothCore singleplayer mode, I find best time was during leveling lvl1 to 40. Even alone, with bots. Nothing can beat that Elwyn Forest - Westfall - Redridge Mountain - Duskwood zone combo. I got this tearing up/shivers/inner peace feeling every time I hear Elwyn Forest theme. The Barrens are also speaking to me, but I was mostly an Alliance player.
15yo, TBC on a private server. I really loved the game and our small community of 800 players. Quests were broken. World events were broken. Raids and dungeons were broken. But the spirit of the game was there. Never left the server up until it's death.
Maybe playing WoW did influence my grades in school, but WoW was not the only game I have played during late Highschool and early Uni. The wasted time metric is entirely owned by LoL.
Other than that, I've met great people, had a blast and kept some friends and epic memories. So much so, I am running AzerothCore single player modded server of 3.3.5a right now. Memberberries are super tasty with WoW.
Here I went for a rant about how game became worse with each expansion. Rant removed.
Is it due to geo-blocking?
