I dont want to repeat same things that many said here. I think all I can add things that me and others do is maintain my own NAS and services. No google photos, no onedrive, no netflix. Just selfhosting stuff now.
Good thought but it has a tiny flaw called "Human mistake". This flaw is the reason why my wife always reads checkout bills right after leaving cash register.
I know a person who has some Samsung foldable phone that is as of right now (2025.12.03) about a year old. According to them, everything was fine since February when the phone was bought. But last week we got below 0C weather, so the fold line on the screen got layers separated.
Z Fold 7 is 2000 euro. They might have Z Fold 6, I am not sure. Regardless, that is way too expensive of a phone to breaks under a mildly cold weather.
This doesn't look like a bitcoin mine to me. Just bunch of stuff that looks like a blu-ray disc case stacked in line. No cables, no wires, no fans. I call bullshit.
If you are talking about NPC AI as if their behaviour that is programmed - then you talk about the wrong thing. The buzz is about AI being used to generate textures, levels, designs of characters, text/dialogue, story/plot of the game.
I got a Kill-A-Watt similar device. I have measured my old PC at around 110W. PC specs: i5-6600, 16gb DDR4 ram, 1060 3gb, 1x2TB hdd, 1x250gb sata ssd, 1x1tb m2 ssd.
Nah. I dissagree. My dedicated NAS system consumes around 40W idling and is very small sized machine. My old PC would utilize 100W idling and is ATX-sized case. Of course I can use my old PC as a NAS, but these two are different category devices.
I blame quality of education. Like, the whole world. Some got it fine but most of the world got it in a trash state. Old system must go. Reworks must be done. And then, maybe we will not repeat history every couple of decades.
The bottom one is from earlier episodes and top one from later ones. Artstyle of Tom & Jerry did evolve quite a bit from 1940 to 1958. Also, animators probably were frequently changed or outsourced.
Obviously. There is no particular reason to switch from old 7th or older gen intel CPUs since with 16GB (or even with 8) of RAM one can browse internet and use OFFICE 365 with no issues. And what most of people do with their computers at work?
Unless PC is used to render 3D/Video/DAW Audio/heavy VMs - there is no fucking need to buy new PC just to upgrade to win11. MS shot themselves in a foot with this one.
I used to own this 1996 Golf MK3 with 1.6 engine. It was by far the worst car I ever owned and driven. One of a tons of problems it had - cant hold RPM on idle. Had to drive like this for two weeks.
