  • Well, first make sure you’re constantly masking because people won’t like you if you’re not sociable and polite, even if it means that you’re so overstimulated that you have zero patience with your loved ones. Then, worry about everything all the time so that you don’t forget important things. Lastly, if there’s a way to sacrifice your own needs to better fit with society, make sure you always do it- I avoided being late to my short-contract job less than 80km away by leaving three to four hours early, even though it fucked my sleep up.

  • Oof, even better. My parents (undiagnosed autistic and ADHD) way overcorrected as a coping mechanism and tried to create the same reaction in their kids. My siblings and I had to do a lot of unlearning, and some parts of it still feel inseparable from who we are.

  • At this point, it seems like the only way out of this situation is the weaponization of EMPs. I’m not supporting that, I’d personally prefer if medical technology and refrigerators and similar things still worked, but if people don’t like cameras everywhere (and we can now very clearly see that they don’t) and companies insist on putting cameras into all types of technologies where they’re not always visible, where else could this lead?

  • OPS is not the only school district where OPD is using the shock gloves. The department has confirmed they are using them in Elkhorn, Millard, and Westside public school districts.

    In a statement to Omaha's News Leader and parents, Westside Community Schools stated that "safety and security personnel were made aware of the potential deployment of these tools on March 27, 2025. Our board of education was made aware of them late last week."

    What the actual fuck is going on? I cannot understand how multiple employees knew about shock gloves for over a year, didn’t tell the BoE, and kept their jobs. What else aren’t they disclosing that a reporter didn’t ask about?
