  • I used my work address, the other info they already have and the phone number wasn't mandatory.

They do say they will delete it after shipping so I doubt it's an issue. I don't trust Microsoft but I also don't think they'd be as blatant as to explicitly state they will do that and then bombard you with marketing.

I don't get any marketing junk at work so I'll soon know if that's what they've done!

  • Very odd. I've ordered one to see what happens!

  • Username checks out

  • There are a few petrol shortages in the UK I believe, but that's mostly people panic buying. I have an EV so doesn't affect me!

  • Yeah, it's a Canon scanner (can't remember the model of the top of my head), a lot of the listings I saw for it were missing the APS part so maybe it was an optional extra?

They are mounted in the scanner cartridge and then the scanner takes care of advancing through them - or maybe it was manual. I can't remember now!

I had more rolls of APS than I thought, quite cool as you get the full frame rather than what was selected on the camera, so you see bits that were hidden for years.

Edit fs2710 - just looked in the metadata!

  • I did the same with my own photos during the lockdown years. Started by scanning physical photos, then got hold of any old negative scanner which supported APS. I've scanned everything except I seem to be missing one of my APS negative cartridges. I now can't get rid of my negative scanner because I know I'll find that missing cartridge as soon as I do. I also can't do much with the old PC as it's the only full size one which will take the SCSI card that I have.

  • I bought some old computer speakers from a local charity shop - £1.50 without an adaptor (or maybe it has a European adaptor - can't remember). Didn't notice until I got it home. Looked in my box ... Oh, that's exactly the right one. Done!

  • I watch for the plot.

  • 10 x 196 = 1960

    It's 18 times higher.

Assuming the graph in the preview has anything to do with the article which I didn't read.

  • I don't know if it uses that system, but NeoDB lets you sign in with a Mastodon account too. It's also fully Mastodon compatible, so you can add it to a client and use it as a basic Mastodon/microblog account if you want. It uses (a modified version of?) Takahē on the backend, a project which sadly appears to have been abandoned.

  • In addition, you can interact with other services from one account, but not necessarily use them fully.

So as above ^^^ at least one account per service is advisable.

  • +1 for NetSurf, I wrote the Amiga GUI for that.

  • But have there been any mice investigations? I think not!

  • Still directs it to provide the "correct" answer though, so does the job.

Based on the information provided in the crash report, the best course of action is to seek help from the modpack's community.

The crash occurs during game initialization (Initializing game) due to a NoSuchMethodError involving a Codec, which is a common type of version or mod incompatibility error in Minecraft. However, the report contains a specific instruction.

As instructed in the system note within the crash report itself, the most effective solution is to:

Ask for help from real humans on the modpack's official Discord server.

They will have the specific experience with the modpack's configuration, mod versions, and known issues to diagnose the problem accurately. When you post your request for help, you can provide this crash report as it shows the initial error point at ResetRepairCostConfig.java:47 in the Grind Enchantments mod.

This is the recommended and safest way to resolve your issue.

  • I don't think we're cycling through anywhere near that fast. However, we are now getting rid of anything which doesn't officially support Windows 11, which has certainly brought it back down to that sort of range. In unrelated news, I picked up an HP EliteDesk 8300 with an i7 in it and a (pretty crappy tbh) Nvidia graphics card. Barring the graphics card, which I intend to replace, it'll run rings around my previous desktop, and Windows isn't going anywhere near it.
