  • tbh, i would've spent wasted a lot more time, energy, and water before i would get a result this good.

  • Aside from whether these companies see simularities with the dot com bubble, nobody knows for sure when the bubble will burst nor what policies will help you get to the other side unharmed. If for example their shoe business is not performing well right now, they might already not survive the economic downturn that'd hit them if the bubble bursts. It is definitely possible that this company is run by blind idiots, but it could also be imperfect human beings trying to keep their workers employed.

  • I'm with you, but the end user's experience is rather similar either way

  • If you hire someone to vibe-code important stuff you should be fired of go bankrupt, i was more talking about text-based generation eg writing emails, summarizing reports, filling out spreadsheets etc.

Never said ai was a good thing though, just saying a lot of people who are not posting in a place like this are regularly using ai and don't mind it being everywhere.

I guess the guy doing the White House official communication also enjoys using ai generation. The amount of crap they put out might really normalize the use of ai images in corporate and political settings. Again, i'm not saying this is a good thing overal, i'm mentioning this in relation to tech companies policy to put those ai buttons everywhere.

  • Unpopular opinion: tech-savvy forum users are much more hostile towards the integration of AI than your average idgaf-how-but-i-want-to-get-this-task-done-quickly-and-without-much-effort-employee.

  • What are you talking about, don't you see all that white (or black in dark mode) space surrounding the rectangle?

  • I call fake, many images have shown the world is not a perfect circle but more of a rectangle, example:

  • is conveniently ignored

The answer to why so many animals suffer their entire life so they can be eaten afterwards.

  • Just curious, what kind of furniture is this? It looks like a table with a bench or a picnic table with the seat attached but if it were it wouldn't make sense since the middle plank is lower than the other two. Also none of the surfaces seem wide enough to function as a table.

  • What a noob, way better to wait till you've died and none of it matters anymore.

  • Oportunistic carnivores? Too lazy to hunt prey you mean.
