Negative. I am a meat popsicle.

  • I figured that out once and now I always break that out when someone references the sound of one-hand clapping. It gets me mostly eye-rolls which as a dad are my life's blood.

  • Yeah, the Trump Recession (we hope not a full-blown depression) will have been uniquely caused as well. Definitely one for the history books.

  • Im normally the one wishing for less politics on Lemmy, but at some point you have to draw a line and define what you actually mean by "too political." Of course, then you'd need to have someone curate media just for you that adheres to that standard... because simple keywords aint gonna cut it. Orrrr, I guess you could just cut off ALL new media.

This isnt some petty political scuffle. This is a trade war that is currently crashing the global economy. China cutting off minerals isn't really "politics", per se, at least in the way most people mean it. It is war: An economic war that looks increasingly likely to end up in the shooting kind.

  • IMO, It's a better name. I have almost given up on Stash a couple of times because it is a pain is the ass to search for it.

Also, on the flip side, IMO it is easier to remember than Czkawka.

  • I use those both regularly. And people seem totally unable to tell whether I am doing it on purpose.

  • "He looks like he fell out of the Ugly Tree and hit every branch on the way down."

  • IMO, "dog in this fight" is more common where Ive lived: Appalachia, mid-Atlantic, Midwest. I wouldn't be surprised if it also varies by region, class, etc.

  • Sure. It ain't rocket surgery.

  • Oh yeah? Johnson?

  • My guess is that the artist or someone realized that: Beast is big and shaggy and blue. Inevitably, he is going to look like cookiemonster to some extent. So they hung a lantern on it

  • I run Pihole+Unbound, Debian baremetal on a tinypc. RPi was too unreliable. I was too often dealing with issues.

My router is the failback, as it has blocking too.

  • My neighbor in Cackalacky had a nice roller (filled w/ water) that he ran behind his lawn tractor, then he had a dethatcher he'd use. He also ran his own irrigation for water the lawn. Always put mine to shame.

He was a retired maintenance supervisor, worked at a plant. Everything that man did was squared away. Great neighbor, even better drinking buddy. I'd sit around with him and Rudie who was a retired machinist from Germany. Good times. I miss those dudes. RIP Rich. If I still drank beer, I'd poor one out for him.

  • And pretty much everything else as well.

  • The app I am using to write this comment is called Thunder. So thats one thing we've got.

  • And I'd move to one of those instances. Don't need or want any corporations involved in my Lemmy.

  • There is now software for organizations to surveil Slack for keywords and negative sentiment automagically and set up alerts for HR or your manager, etc.. I'd be more than a little cautious about what you write there.

  • You should offer an assault banana with a 1913 rail, so we can attach all our tactical accessories.
