Negative. I am a meat popsicle.

  • what boys? This ignores the original point. There isnt some big group of friends just waiting for a cry for help... The point is they arent receptive to it and it causes them to withdraw. A dude feeling suicidal? Literally no wants to hear it. Theyll just feel uncomfortable and avoid you.

  • My kid.

  • And of course, they control the hardware and software. I wouldnt risk it as a foreign national who has occasionally done work in the defense industry, but everyone has a different risk tolerance.

  • Imagine the wars.

  • Is there a flavor to the caulk?

  • What was your preferred search engine in 1997?

  • If that is his real name, he did not make it past age 10 without hearing some play on Scarry Dick or Dick Scarry.

Source: I have met a 10 year old boy.

  • They are probably betting they will make more money from businesses. I.e., actual pros, vs prosumer.

I do like my Synology NAS I bought 10 yrs ago, but these days there are more and better alternatives for people who dont really need to pay for the support and stability.

  • I guess one could say you'd ...survive.

  • eh... it wouldnt kill you.

  • I have a Shield Pro and several Rokus, but my next will be the ONN 4K Pro. Hopefully it is $30 at black friday again, I'll buy a few.

  • Out of curiousity, what does that get you that Pixel+GrapheneOS wouldnt?

  • Well sure, but it is more than that. Advertising ,broadly, is literally there expressly to manipulate your emotional state. Social media just gives them more info about your state so they are much more effective at it.

  • That's a dodge worthy of slippery Don himself. We both know that "wishing" someone to die and calling for someone to die are both toxic discourse and doing so where Trump is involved is toxic as well as dangerous.

Kyle was no doubt saying it flippantly to be funny. And Id probably laugh if a friend of mine said it and I was at a private birthday party. I have that luxury because I am not a public figure. Jack Black, however, very much IS a public figure (as is Kyle, albeit somehat less famous,) which brings with it much more scrutiny and no doubt a different calculus.

Again, Kyle said theyre still friends and all is forgiven so this was all just an excuse to insert your toxicity into another lemmy thread.

  • Nice strawman. Where did anyone in this coment thread say anything about him or anything he has done being fine?

Nah, fuck that. You just threw that bullshit out there because you cant stand that I do not and will not support the normalization of political violence as acceptible. At least attempt to scold me for something I actually wrote.

I thought the figure was that he likely caused an additional 461K, but Im happy to round up to a million, as that was a while ago, iirc. Unfortunately, "he may have caused a million excess covid deaths" isnt going to cut it in any kind of criminal justice proceding. So be sure to bring receipts. Ive no doubt he has done lots of things deserving of the death penalty, but youll need to show quite a bit stronger a causal link.

Now go ahead and downvote me for not being radical enough to suit you.

  • CallingWishing for the assassination of a political figure (especially one who is currently the sitting president, tho iirc, he was a candidate at the time) is pretty widely viewed as a red line and is very dangerous ground to tread for an American public figure, which he is.

Im pretty sure any "mean" thing he did is between him and Gaas, who has said they remain friends and will tour again as the D. Sounds like he is forgiven for anything you may have perceived as "mean." It seems like that should satisfy anyone with genuine concerns about his friend.

Or are you just canceling anyone whose rhetoric you view as insufficiently hateful towards Trump? (Dont answer that, it was rhetorical.)

edit: forgot it was a "wish"

  • Smart. Anything to avoid learning!

I suppose it is possible the submitter used AI uncredited, but I doubt it. For one thing, there are other images of the same models in the artist's page. Second, the state of AI image generation when this was submitted (June 2023) was pretty terrible for things like this.

More likely is that the image "looks like AI" to you because most image generation models were trained on Common Crawl, which includes at least tens of thousands of curated (royalty-free) images. In other words, AI models generate images that look like stock photos because that is what they know how to generate.

  • Fossil fuels definitely turbo-charged our technological developement. Cheap portable energy and petrochemicals. Guaranteed to be addictive. And without then, or some other comparable miracle, it would have taken us many times longer to get where we are.

We are like someone who only ever played Civ with cheats and we're going to find out soon how hard the game is without (and... because of) that magic black goo from the ground.
