  • Not struggling perse but yeah shit has gone up way more than my pay check. Paying double for groceries what I did a few years ago, paying 50% more for gas than I did a year ago electricity doubled. Pay went up a few percent....

  • Probably my favorite trek because it was my first trek. Also its the only one that actually treks.

  • I code at a kindergarten level so its been useful for me when I'm trying to get an idea to just work. I tell it what I was trying to do and give it my code and then I ask it to fix then explain what went wrong. Works pretty well in qwen 3.8 27b on my GPU in zed. But I'm not making huge apps or public code just dumb scripts for me. So ive found ive actually gotten better this past year. Its all in how you use it.

  • I got a little fanless atom PC from work that was being tossed because it "didn't work." It did work you would just have to apply pressure to it before boot because the CPU must have been coming unsoldered. I just stuck it on the bottom of like 30 pounds of gear and never had a problem.

  • Pixel 5 was the last good one.

  • I have no doubt's the cyber truck will be regarded as worst automotive failure of all time. Not just because its a piece of shit but because of how much money was wasted on it.

  • I've got 100tb getting filled. I'm ready. Ok in reality its closer to 60 tb after raid and I'm duplicating the important stuff across 2 devices. But that's only about 5 tb. But I'm including lots of PDFs epubs and zims as important stuff. The rest is just media.

  • I've dabbled with the ai I get from a kagi subscription its genuinely helpful with some stuff. If I put in a very fuzzy description of something I can write a paragraph about it and it will find it when no amount of searching has been able to turn it up. Its sometimes helpful with troubleshooting, sometimes not. I wouldn't trust it for any subject I didn't have some familiarity with and I do go double check some shit it tells me. Over all its fine but I wouldnt pay extra for it outside of my search subscription. I am still opposed to data center rollouts and power use that comes along with it and the lack of data sovereignty but a little box like a strix halo I could see being pretty useful.

  • Sabriel and Redwall were my jam as a kid. I still revisit the Abhorsen series from time to time. Basically I reread them all when Nix releases a new book.

  • Damn

  • I see you know your judo well.

  • I'm not knocking it but I don't consider audiobooks reading. You are using two different input systems, going through different parts of the brain. They both require different skills to process and retain the information.

  • I mean not 100% obviously but went from going out drinking weekly to going so long without drinking I might not remember the last time I had a beer. Point was pretty much everyone I know.has cut back significantly.

  • When I hit my late 20s (a decade ago...) I pretty much just upped and stopped drinking. No problem, no real reason just didn't enjoy it anymore. Now I maybe go through a six pack or two a year mostly when doing yard work, or will have a beer socially once a month or every other month. Its just too expensive and I got better shit to do.

  • I went on a first date with a woman and she was making the most intense eye contact I've ever experienced. It was like she was trying to drill into my soul with her stare. I had to keep breaking it to look away because it was just too much. After about an hour of kinda of awkward conversation because of the staring she asks if I'm autistic... I said no, not that I'm aware of and left to go to the bathroom. When I returned she asked if this was the end of the date and that there probably wouldn't be another right? I was quite upset at the time and called my best female friend to gripe about it. She laughed and said she had almost the exact l same thing happen to her a few days earlier.

Then there was "secret mom" who we went of a few dates and then she came over one night. She waits until we are both naked and have been fooling around, which is just about the worst time to say oh by the way I have a kid. Boner gone and I didn't know what to say but I guess she didn't like my facial reaction and left crying. I felt bad the next day and called to apologize but say it was best if we didn't see each other. She kept pursuing me over the next few weeks and we ended up sleeping together. After wards she got pelvic inflammatory disease and accused me of having an STD and giving it to her. I was sure I was clean but agreed to get tested results came back good and hers did too. When I looked up PID it said it most likely caused by another STD but like 25% of the time just intercourse can cause it. After both tests came back clean she still kept after me but I was 100% done. Not with being asked to get tested but the way she came at me about it.

  • As to the walking on the right thing I make people do that too but its because I'm deaf in my left ear. Maybe it was a similar situation for her? I usually tell people why I'm doing it though because I've gotten enough funny looks about it over the years.

  • I would like to be in the room filming him as he makes these insane prompts to grok while he's in a khole. Could probably make a really good doc like hearts of darkness out of it.

  • My mom bought a new house and is moving in, in a couple weeks. I went over to get internet installed a couple weeks ago and noticed the new fridge was making an awful buzzing sound.

  • Hey now my paperless-ngx is filled with documents I have definitely read... the title of.

  • Tell that to my cousin. He just bought his 3rd...
