  • I’ve watched them sting through my clothes and one time even a jacket

I stupidly watched thinking no way it can get thru my jacket and then it just popped its thing right thru it

  • Not type O and mosquitos chow on me

  • Yeah it more applies to people who actually get their primary socialization time at work

A lot of people have social lives that are dominated by work relationships from being regular friends to hanging out after work and such

So wfh for them is basically just isolation because they never had to socialize for themselves, school and then work provided it by necessity and proximity

  • People who socialize in the office hate wfh

People who socialize outside of the office love wfh

  • I can go buy myself plenty of happiness and it’s not like being ignorant automatically means you’re gonna be happy

Being ignorant won’t protect you from the world knocking on your door and tossing you in a van for deportation or worse

I’ll take the money every time

  • Sounds like a consequence free hundred million dollars since you should already be acutely informed as to the horrible happenings of the world

  • VPN usage to get around geo broadcasting is not popular in America so the most likely explanation almost certainly aligns with an explanation not involving vpn use (except hardcore fans would definitely use it)

So I think you’re actually wrong trying to deduce stuff from those stats and the reality is simply fewer Americans care about Winter Olympics (lotta stuff going on rn not just w Super Bowl too) + more people just watch clips off YouTube and TikTok and instagram/fb

But none of that requires a vpn

  • I’m not sure propaganda has ever been more intense and widespread than it is now with ubiquitous tech addiction

  • That’s true winter isn’t as popular but between app subscribers and older gen with actual tv packages most will just watch it normally

But you’re right anyone legitimately into it will seek out a vpn but that’s still a small portion of the actual watchers. Most will tolerate the sloppy coverage or if it’s really that bad just turn it off and move on with their lives

  • I’m not sure you’re thinking at all

  • So what you’re saying is not many Americans heard it because most will watch it through nbc or wherever because not many people use vpns

  • Even if we removed the health effects…sitting in a wall-e chair chugging Alfredo sauce is being irreparably damaged in body and mind

You can also just do that already by staring at your phone all day and eating processed food

  • Are you sure you’re not confusing what a want is with something that you don’t want?

For example you actually don’t want a wall-e chair because you would never actually accept one. Similarly, you don’t actually want a 20-liter bucket of fettuccine Alfredo because, again, you would never accept it.

A want is something you’d actually like to have so if you wouldn’t accept it that sounds like something you don’t want to have…

  • lol professions often require you constantly be reviewing and keeping up to date with meaningful changes in the field

Real life may actually require you to keep on learning 🫨

I swear it feels like people genuinely want the wall-e chairs

  • Sell them to who? Who will want to live somewhere the cops just slaughtered everyone lol

Being a millionaire means nothing if your currency turns into Zimbabwe money and it costs 50million dollars to buy a burger

You are quite literally not thinking this through at all

  • Probably because they’d have nothing to do with all the real estate and resources if they took it for themselves?

That’s like asking why the managers don’t just kill all the workers…who would do the work lol

  • So I guess you can see why it’s so easy for them to buddy up

  • Since when are people expecting local cops to be allies?

  • Ask Lemmy @lemmy.world

How come residential power lines aren't buried underground still?
