  • Very much so but hard to put into words. It's like from which angle they're coming in and predating upon my fellow humans. Like which legal systems or economies they're using.

    OpenAI is also fresher, while apple has simmered for a while.

  • I agree. I guess what I didn't say is that I do a bunch of work on the clock in order to ensure 99% of my responsibilities are covered. And then even the other 0.9% my coworkers can just deflect or work around.

    But if a situation arises that actually hurts people imo that is no longer a work issue but a humanity issue, and if my fellows can't handle it then I do want to be made aware.

    If this a regular occurrence then there needs to be some way to block or mitigate the damage, so that people can go on vacation and not worry they're coming back to a mess.

  • For half a year I've been using it as a daily driver at home and at work for productivity and game on tiling and floating WMs, and so far the only thing that doesn't work is the screen sharing on my offbrand Teams package I gotta trot out once in a while.

    But then I just switch from Sway to Gnome on Wayland, so I can't even blame Wayland then.

    You just need to be aware when packages are expecting X and find alternatives.
