  • Firefox and (all I think) of its components are licensed with the MPL 2.0. This means everyone is free to fork it and build their own product with it (free or for profit is not a criteria for FLOSS licenses), given that changes to the forked code must be made publicly available.

  • I would feel the same as you if I were the only poster in the communities. But as there is at least one other (MentalEdge) and the dent is similar, I don't need to worry (about my quality; but still if the community as a whole is running fine if they don't come back after a while).

  • I noticed it too with the upvotes on my content. A few weeks ago my predictions when I hit a certain mark of upvotes were pretty accurate, but now the amount of upvotes in the first 12h dropped notably.

    Your mention of spring sound like a plausible reasoning to me.

  • While I don't know if your analysis is wrong, I think you took it a bit too serious 😅.

    Trendlocity is the name of the comicseries, aka Val and Isaak. If you scroll through the comics you might notice that many of them are just silly stories without deeper meaning. The author even writes 'I draw goofy aliens sometimes.' in their about.The two in the top panels are the time boys

    . They constantly shift through time, which might explain the changing clothing. The character with the wizard hat is Isaac and asked them to help him out of the awkward situation of forgetting a name of someone he should know.

  • I think the federation was more about interacting with other instances. Like creating issues and pull-requests without needing to create a new account for every instance.

    I think this would be useful, as reporting bugs on GitLabs can be annoying if you have to create an account first.

  • I'm also using the power of programming to automatically create and submit most of my posts. I was inspired by @MentalEdge@sopuli.xyz

    It is a webapp called Moequeue with two main features:

    • Extracting all relevant information from a given URL (Pixiv, Danbooru, ...) + adding sauce with Saucenao (+ ...) and then running this data through a user-defined template to create the post.
    • Posts can get added to queues which submit them regularly by user-defined cron-expressions.
