  • Maybe a little more irrational and chaotic, haven't noticed much change in aggression or rudeness. Just more impulsive decisions, like switching lanes at the last moment. Just today I witnessed a near collision between three cars who were all abrubtly switching lanes simultaneously almost into each other.

  • So basically using AI code is allowed but it would take more time to research if it is license-compatible (if that's even possible) than just writing the code yourself in the first place

  • Fiddling around with Renovate Bot on my Forgejo instance. It's not working perfectly yet, but it's getting there.

Also I began using LubeLogger to track my car expenses and fuel efficiency. Works beautifully.

  • It's going in a circle, eventually ending up at nvidia and co.

  • Which kind of AI? I certainly hope not LLMs.

  • Yes but that is my point. How would one get hired for their initial job if everyone requires them to have experience before hiring?

  • Unrelated to the original topic, but how would people without experience build such a portfolio if every manager thinks this way?

  • That's great for you, unfortunately I'm in Austria

  • Ice cream, right now it's around 2.50-3.80€ per scoop. I remember from a few years ago it was at 0.80€

  • This is how cursive was taught to me in Austria:

Here it only makes sense to cross the "t" to flow into the next letter. Usually I kept track of the various dots and accent marks for each word, though sometimes I would write them immediately.

I don't write in cursive any more, so it doesn't really make a difference if i do the accents immediately or later.

Interestingly, cursive is now taught slightly differently in Austria:

  • Oh it absolutely is still in use, I've seen it myself.

  • Oh no, I can't use my applicon™ PCI2000PFB fieldbus network interface card.

  • In 2027 we can probably expect vastly larger bills or reduced usage limits. The price at which some models are being offered right now is in no way sustainable. For example Anthropics subscription plan gives you tons of quota for the most expensive models, while costing relatively little. Github Copilot recently changed its billing to token-based (before it was request-based) and it already produces incredible bills within the company I work for.

  • You can also check the build/install date of a package with pacman -Qi

  • They also probably realized providing free Copilot in Windows would get very expensive quickly, and that not enough users would pay for it.

  • Forgejo (the basis for Codeberg) is working on ActivityPub federation
