It takes little time until you have subscribed too enough communities so that your home feed feels natural. I use the "Hot" sorting in home, but there are some people who prefer "Scaled", which is hot but favors smaller communities, so that you don't only have memes and shit posts in there.
For the All feed I Dan really recommend "Top of 6 hours". But, yeah, the Threadiverse is not big enough to spend here hours a day, I usually come here twice a day. What I really like is that you have much more user engagement, where on Reddit your comment usually disappears in the void. Welcome and have fun here, hope you'll stay a little longer ;)

That's true, but I think this is more of a development thing than an actual aim of Lemmy. Due to the nature of federation, everything must be open. As the Software is strongly inspired by Reddit, transparent votes is something that is technically exposed via the API but not yet implemented in the UI. But I think any app developer could integrate this into their app if they liked. It seems like Mbin chose a different path way.
In general, there is no congruent sentiment in Lemmy development, but I agree there should be one or it should be discussed with the community. Have you looked if there is an already ongoing discussion on git?
I care more about PieFed, but I don't know how they look on the topic though.
I was sceptic of the open concept at first. But now I find it appealing, because comment and post history are also public. If people wanted, they could probably extract my living place, job, sexual preferences and political opinions from my comment history of 1,000 comments. So why hide the up- and down votes?
A popular app where you can share and split expenses with a group of people. It's very useful for example when you are on vacation with 3 or more people and everybody pays something. At the end the app tells you how much everyone has to pay everyone back.
Split wise was great in the past, but it was enshittified pretty badly. That's why alternatives are always welcome!

It does. The only thing I miss compared to the Lemmy experience is that "auto fill title" does not work yet when link posting. However, most of the PieFed features aren't integrated into Voyager yet, so it will be similar to the Lemmy experience but you will miss out a lot of PieFed stuff.
My prediction: Russia will join the "Board", Trump will pressure Ukraine and the Europeans they are against peace because they are not joining. Then Ukraine will join, because they have no other option than accepting this straw, as they don't want US as enemies. Then, Europeans will debate what to do, but in the end they will give in, as their parallel push for peace is not heard neither in Russia or the the US. I know it's sad, but I think this board of peace is not just stupid, but also pretty strategic.
The generational concept is also a bit weird, like if huge waves of children would be born every 10 years lol
