Just a guy not on Reddit

  • Kind of. It allows Koreader apps to sync with other koreader apps, but there is no way to check the progress in CWA and it doesn't sync with CWA's web reader.

  • Koreader is great but it is a reading app, and it's not great on android. I'm looking for a selfhosted library that can sync Koreader or similar.

  • Yeah I'm fine with a folder that it regularly scans or something, I just don't want to have to properly tag everything/get cover art manually every time.

I currently use Komga for graphic novels (cdisplayex syncs progress with it). I had no idea it had Koreader support, maybe I'll give it more of a look.

  • Thanks, someone else linked this too: https://github.com/rgerganov/shanocast

I've thought about running wires too but I don't always want it playing in every room, and the convenience of "cast to [group A] [group B] etc is too convenient for my family to give up.

  • Now that's interesting! Thanks

  • The cast button works with Apple Airplay and Sonos devices yeah? I also believe it works with (some) Wiim devices.

  • Dang OK thanks yeah we need all apps (Tidal, BandCamp, Pocketcasts etc) not just Spotify.

  • Music assistant is indeed cool and can do multi-room, but you have to go to it specifically first.

  • Snapcast allows me to use the "chromecast" button inside the spotify app?

  • Won't work with multiroom unfortunately.

  • I have a home server, I just need the little parts that plug into the speaker.

  • I actually looked into Wiim and it's really great, but you need to open the music in their app in order to do mutiroom. You can't just "cast" from Spotify or whatever.

EDIT: Some Wiim devices have chromecast built in

  • Thanks, but I don't think that's it. I rebooted and also tried adding a new container to NGINX with a DuckDNS url and it won't load on the local network.

  • Well like I said DuckDNS is working

  • Hm, pinging works and shows my (external) IP. But no device I've tested can load the duckdns URL.

EDIT: Two of the URLS show the local IP replying when pinged. Not configured any differently so I'm not sure what's going on there. This was a PiHole thing apparently

  • Yes and DuckDNS is working flawlessly everywhere except that the network the server is also connected to.

  • Arris G36 but I don't believe that's the issue as it was working for years before now and on a different router too.
