I offer absurdist edits of absurdist Heathcliff comics, make food, post political memes.

  • I am on an ongoing mission to teach more people about shakshuka.

  • My childhood Christmas dinner. Maybe Christmas eve on occasion if we were doing lasagna or prime rib for Christmas.

  • Muscle Ceviche but cooked

  • This is a copy and paste of a comment I just made.

This my base recipe. I change things up a lot. Today I added a minced jalapeno. Sometimes I skip the eggs. Sometimes I'll use a nearly identical spice blend to cook some beef or lamb and add it and skip the eggs. But I always make bread.

Shakshuka2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil.1 medium yellow onion chopped.1 red pepper chopped.4 garlic cloves, chopped.1 teaspoon ground coriander.2 teaspoons sweet paprika.1 teaspoon ground cumin.1 teaspoon chili powder.1 Pinch red pepper flakes.Salt and pepper.1 28-ounce can whole peeled tomatoes.5 large eggs.cup chopped fresh parsley leaves.cup chopped cilantro leaves.! Serve with crusty bread.

    • Saute the onions and pepper on medium heat until translucent and maybe even a little browned.
    • Stir in the garlic and spices for 30 seconds.
    • Deglaze with the juice from the canned tomatoes.
    • Add the tomatoes and beat them up with a wooden spoon to break them down into smaller chunks.
    • Reduce heat to simmer and put the lid on
    • Simmer for 15 minutes.
    • Make a well for each egg and place an egg in each.
    • Adjust heat to medium low.
    • Put the lid back on and cook for 5 minutes.
    • Serve.

  • Cats are put in cages and people walk by. Some people have kids. If a kid reaches out to a cat and a cat hisses it's going to cause reputation problems for the place that is doing adoptions. So the general rule of thumb is that it has to be able to not hiss when a 5-year-old reaches for it.

  • Speech to text got me

  • I improvise a raised area that is closer to the light source and stops me from holding the camera two feet above the food.

  • She hasn't been vaccinated or fixed yet so even if she was friendly she still isn't ready for adoption. She is in South Carolina. But I'm not sure where she will end up as her journey continues.

  • I did find myself running out as I ate it and regretted not doubling the amount.

  • I almost added an egg to this.

I like sardines in French bread pizza. Other things too but you mentioned pizza like things.

  • The roasting dried the fish out. Made the volatiles go away.

I have never tried Ezekiel bread. I don't trust any bread that has to live in a freezer. Not a fan of the texture from previously frozen bread. I know that for some people it's their only real option for bread like things. But I'm not one of them.

  • Here is the base recipe I used. Instead of olive oil I used the oil from the sardine tin. I'd recommend adding olive oil as well for crispier results. Just add the sardines when tossing the potatoes. The rest of the recipe is the same except I don't have ancho chilli powder and just used my homemade stuff

  • I have seen the historical documents.

  • These were baked with the potatoes and had almost no smell after that. But my body smells tinned fish and craves it. Learned behavior for a nutrition bomb?

  • You could use smoked squid or anchovies instead if you prefer. Please use oils or fats that won't go rancid for your robot. It is all in the manual.

  • California Taco would have French fries and citrus marinated carne asada. Based on the California Burrito that started showing up in San Diego around the year 2000 at Roberto's taco shops.

  • I just looked to see who else might qualify for such a niche combination. Louis C.K. was the only one I recognized. You definitely picked the best option.

  • Fusion is one thing. Fried latkes in fried corn tortillas is a bit much.
