  • Turbo Pascal will always hold a special place for me. One of the very first languages I learned, the very first compiler I bought, and the first games I ever wrote. Good memories. Sadly I don't think i have any of the source any more. Lost it all in the great crash of 99.

  • Wake words are a pain on android but everything else is very doable. I use my local assistant everyday.

  • I'm not well versed in unions, but the link doesn't read nearly as harshly as the title does. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt before pulling my donations.

  • That's why I grabbed it. Gaming focused and immutability was interesting. I've been running Linux for a long time and honestly the immutable restrictions are really nice once you adjust to them. I do quite a lot of development on my bazzite box and I don't see any reason for anything else now.

  • Holy shit I never realized that was the same actress! I knew she looked familiar!

  • It also has support for discovery through labels/annotations

  • Best stack I've seen so far is Yubal + Navidrome + Tempo. If you don't mind paying for your client then Symfonium is hard to beat.

  • I just started using it recently. It is not the most intuitive thing, but I don't see how it could possibly garner such ire.

  • I have a simple slow model running on CPU in my cluster for karakeep. I've tried running a variety of models on my 7900XT but even with 16GB their performance just isn't there. My new work m5 Mac book with 48GB of ram is the first time I've seen usable performance for local models and it has been pretty impressive.

  • That's very cool. I wish they included a total price estimate though.

  • I have no use for this, nevertheless I want it

  • Thanks I hate it

  • Take a look at towonel. It's relatively new, but very promising. I plan to migrate to it from cloudflare.

  • Exactly why prototypes should always bake in limitations and problems. Otherwise management will just say "good enough"

  • I've been running it for a while now and it is really good. The annoying bit is that you have to roll your own import flow to get your portfolio data in. And many brokerages do not make it easy to get that data in a reasonable format.

  • The world would be exponentially better.

  • I'm big on selfhosting and WFH, so symmetric 1Gbs is huge for me. Different people have different needs. My same provider offers symmetric 2.5Gbs, but my router and switch can't handle that. YET!

  • Do you think that is unlikely? Its not like those cards are hard to find.

  • I don't like it but you gotta game whatever the current meta is. If they are using AI, you gotta figure out which AI they are using and game that. Maximize your chances to get through the automated bullshit. Once you get through the bullshit you can find out what the job really requires and showcase skills. Its dumb to jump through these hoops, but this is the current game. Play that shit.
