    • Jamie Siminoff of Ring - Not particularly surprising, but notable for a company becoming ubiquitous for personal home surveillance.
    • Lisa Su of AMD - Maybe I shouldn't be surprised, but I was really hoping there'd be a gpu choice that wasn't outright throwing their lot in with fascists.

  • So, not sure what details I may be missing, but my experience putting any non-steam game onto a steam deck is just transferring over the game folder and linking the executable in steam. No idea how one could mess up any other part of the system with that.

    It literally doesn't, as those companies can make these demands for whatever reason they want. The problem to solve isn't "how do we appease the unreasonable processors", it's "how can we stop relying on these processors entirely", and that's a much bigger issue than Valve can solve on their own.

    Also, again, Steam already has this system. If that isn't enough to avoid the issues, adding another proprietary economy certainly won't.
