  • From what I hear he was a turd before the stroke, too.

  • "Look what you made meBibi do!" Fucking victim blaming pos.

  • Ah, my mistake.

  • What? It fits perfectly. "Woke", as in eyes open and not asleep at the wheel. Able to see the injustice around you.

Has the term really been so warped by bigots that people don't know what it originally meant?

  • Woke is the wide-eyed understanding of how systemic racism and prejudices disenfranchise you and others. Woke is knowing the system has been slanted against those it is meant to serve and working to fix that. Woke is not a bad thing, and these chuds don't deserve the label.

  • Then it's enough that they deliberately took the action to show that it's working.

  • "To him? But I have better buyers elsewhere!" - English potato salesmen, 1848

  • I'm unsure if you're speaking as a previous admin or just as a user, but if the latter, would it not have been easier to just block the user directly?

  • Lame ass reason.

  • He flat out chastised those doing so. I don't know if he's finally come around, but that seriously diminished him in my eyes forever more. When his country desperately needed a unified voice to react the infant stages of a fascist government, he chose to rebuke the criticisms and take the side of "wait until it's too late". Now that his buddies are feeling the heat, now he decides it's too much. Fuck that.

  • ...wut? The refrigerator has a gaming mode??

  • The expressions in theycantalk are peak.

  • Yup, that's what I said.

  • care to elaborate on that?

    I have. Multiple times.

  • You're hinging on the wrong part. The only difference between the scenarios laid out is who has the choice. In the one you are arguing for, the choice is in the hands of the harasser.

  • at least with the reddit way, the victim can put up hurdles to prevent the harasser from coming into their comments and flooding them with foul shit.

How? One new account that blocks the victim and it's exactly what you're arguing against, except now the user doesn't get the choice to ignore it or fight back. It's completely invisible to them.

With how it works here, it's the victim's choice to endure it or isolate themselves from it. Do you not see how that's better?

  • They've made intelligence offensive to their in-group. They're proud to be unintelligent, and just the insinuation that something is "too smart" let's them know it's to be attacked.

  • they're not harassing you in your spaces, and your communities.

They would be, though. That's exactly what they're saying could happen - you just wouldn't be able to see it. In effect, what they described is exactly what you're claiming to be a problem, except worse because it's exclusively in control of the harasser.

  • It's a play on "head honcho", a very commonly used term.
