Yes for porn (in addition to fedinsfw.app), but only slightly for regular use. Mostly just Facebook birthday comments and reading Reddit via search results, which I have to manually change to old.reddit links. I also watch science and tech YouTubers, but block ads.
My understanding is that even if the brakes are working, it's still not safe for maintenance people to have the public using them as stairs. And maybe to fix whatever is wrong they might need to disengage the brakes anyway.
