  • Cause the numbers aren't true.

    Isn't that obvious ?

Trump fired the last woman doing the job because she wouldn't lie. He found someone who would.

  • Can we spread a lie that it does ?

Idk what else will stop people from mutilating their child's genitals.

  • Party principles have a history of changing over time.

I think we can still salvage "democrats". We just have to make it far left.

If we do make a new party though, what animal or color ?

I mean white seems like the only option. But that's kinda maybe problematic.

Can't be part of the white party.

    Rainbow?

Oh and animal. Hm.Anything is better than a literal jack ass.

Even if we stick with the Dems vs Republicans. Can Dems get a new mascot. ?

  • No ones claiming there isn't corruption in unions. There certainly is. Especially in the trade unions.

But unions in general are better than no unions.

  • Trade Union members came to our city meetings to support data centers cause they wanted the short term revenue even though everyone else suffers for it. They didn't care. Everyone one of them was "me me me" and "I need I need I want and I deserve and fuck the rest of you and future generations"

Really changed my opinion of them.

I get that company reps go in and spew their propaganda and make a bunch of empty promises. But ultimately these people are fully aware of the damage these centers do. Because they attended the meeting where this information was shared. And they just don't give a fuck.

A friend of mine who is a mechanic says the trade schools and union groups are all like that. Very bigoted. Pretty racist too. And it's rampant in the schools.

I'm sure it's not the same for other unions.

But the trade unions .. constantly support candidates against their own interest and apparently are a bunch of magas.

  • I meant the U.S is sort of known for all of the suing we do. It's practically a tradition.

I saw "au" behind your username and assumed you were from Australia.

There have been many successes from suing here.

That and lawsuits ending in settlements.

It's pretty much the only thing that changes how a company does business.

Employee rights have had the best success.

Sexual harassment. Being fired for discrimination.

These lawsuits are expensive and a PR nightmare.

They usually result in company policy changes.

  • It has had some success in the U.S. Maybe not as effective in your country?

  • That and suing. But threats of violence might be faster and cheaper.

  • I have a long couch that my old cat does use sometimes to get from the front door towards the hallway door if the young cat is hanging out in the main living room floor area.

I have a dining room table that also splits up the floor into two paths to get to the hallway entrance.

I don't think I have room for any additional cat structures. The wheel takes up a lot of room. (I'm considering donating it to the local APL or another shelter). But even if I get rid of it I do not have room for another tower.

The old cat rarely gets on it anyway.

There is a built-in cabinet under the windows in the dinning room. I have a cat bed on the left one and a pillow on the right side with cat grass in the middle. My old cat does like his bed on the left. But since that's started being the main spot he gets ambushed, he's been avoiding it lately.

In the bedroom there is also another spot near a window on a dresser where I have another cat pillow. But they both prefer to be in the main living room area during the day. Where I am.

The space really is maxed out for cat enrichment.

They honestly have plenty of spaces.

  • Typo. Apologies

  • You know that logic is sound. 😅

  • I have 3 litter boxes. They each have their own that the other can't access (behind a door that they paw at and I let them enter and exit) and then one in a shared area.

I have a mostly open floor plan so the only areas they can block each other in is really just one door in the house. But there isn't much I can do about that one.

They also both like to look out the front door which has a window front. Other animals come up so they like watching them.

So my desk also has a window that faces my porch. I generally don't let the cats on my desk but I recently gave in and just cleared out a spot for a cat so now they can both watch the porch without fighting over the front door.

I don't really want a cat on the desk but it's a compromise I'll make for now. Plus the young cat likes to sleep on the desk so it does make it easy to keep an eye on where he is.

I def try to make sure the younger cat is entertained as much as I can.

I have a lot of toys including electronic ones. He does like them and likes playing with the wand with me. He's also able to play by himself with some toys. He occasionally plays on the cat tree.

I got a wheel too but not been able to get either cat to use it. Treats nor toys nor laser pointer will incentive them to use the wheel.

I definitely feel like young one sometimes picks on my older cat out of boredom.

    But I can't supervise/entertain him every moment he's awake.

  • I guess that works. Thanks for the share

  • We need a community for just "stuff"

For screenshots or whatever that doesn't really fit in other subs because , like you pointed out, this isn't a meme.

But where else should it go ,?

  • Well one is scared of technology. The Same people against windmills and solar panels.

The other recognizes the harm it does to the world.

I guess at least the end goal is the same.

  • Do you think they are lying about the cause to place blame on an invisible enemy and it's just that data centers over use of fresh water, unregulated water pollution, and poor maintenance of infrastructure is the cause ? (Aka incompetence and capitalism greed).

It sure seems fishy that cyber attacks would lower water pressure and make water unsafe to drink.

I can't see how they could possibly do that. But 🤷

  • Well it doesn't seem to be getting worse. But it's not much better than it was 2 months ago.

  • I have definitely used boxes to try to block their line of sight.

Also if I see one blocking a path I move them . Like hanging out near the hallway entrance where the two litter box accesses are.

I also move food around during the day where there are two eating areas far from each other. And at night the cats are separated so it's less of an issue then.

Yeah I make sure each cat gets multiple one on one time with me and play time.

They have certainly gotten better over these 4 months.

It took probably 2 months before they could be left out together most of the day.

But it feels like I've hit a plateau. Doesn't feel like any more progress is being made.

It honestly feels like I'm babysitting toddlers all day.

I hear a smarl and a growl and have to get up from my desk and move a cat or chase one away or occasionally put one in the backroom for a while. On and off all day, every day.

The only time it's peaceful is when they are both sleeping.

  • Yeah these two get very loud. That's how I always know I have to get up and grab the squirt bottle.

They growl and hiss a lot all day.

Honestly it's usually the older cat making the noises. Probably telling younger cat to back off.

I've wondered if young cat wants to play and isn't getting the signal from old cat to back off, but when I pick him up to lock him in the backroom (which I do after a fight) he often growls and hisses too.

So they are both in fight mode.
