  • Jet Lag: The Game - Japanorama - Ep 2: Is There a Catch?

  • This episode was the best editing they've done, there were so many little moments like that between the two teams. I liked the cut between Adam saying Sam is bad at riddles to Sam guessing "cocaine" for the easiest riddle in history.

  • It was, I watched it on Saturday when it still had the more clickbaity title. Thought I should post it here since it's been put on YouTube now for everyone to watch. I think she made the right call changing the title and adding an additional intro to the YouTube version. I grew up listening to tons of Dolly, so as devastating as yesterday's news was, it was nice learning about all the good she's done as well

  • That was by far the best of the 4½ American seasons they've done, they've really nailed the writing of the challenges now so we get to see lots of cool places along the way

    I always root for Badam but it was such bad luck for Sam and Amy this time, and it's been two full years since he last won a season

  • I know they said ages ago that they no longer do the taskmaster-style workarounds due to the audience backlash from the likes of "touch an animal" being completed by Sam touching Ben and Adam. But I would have loved it if they'd done something like buying an inflatable dinghy and just writing "water taxi" on it.

  • Adam's complete indignation over the idea that a boat would appear within 20 minutes for so cheap might have been my favourite part of this episode.

    And it feels poetic that the first bit of luck for Sam in about 3 episodes was him and Amy successfully dying

  • My office does exactly this, it has the thermostat set as cold as it can, and the sensor is in a cooler and shadier part of our floor (where management sit I believe). The rest of us sit in a glass-paned south-facing death trap that fluctuates between 25°C and 15°C multiple times a day on any sunny days. I work from home most of the time so thank fuck I don't have to experience it during this heatwave.

  • I was screaming through my screen at Sam during that whole challenge! That rock was so perfectly like a tiger's stripes I could not believe Mike's luck in finding it. Usually when Sam loses it's down to terrible luck like train delays but this time for sure it was so many late-game strategy errors.

    ...and usually I would feel bad for Sam, but he's been particularly hubristic this season so I was kind of happy to see him lose. But I'm glad we're getting a full Amy season next and she was great on the mini-season so she may well lift him to victory.

  • It was one of the most controversial parts of the Good Friday Agreement to pardon people on both sides of the fence, but deemed a sort of necessary evil to obtain peace. A lot of ex-paramilitaries ended up as taxi drivers doing tours of Belfast and a lot of our older politicians in Northern Ireland are well known to have killed people. It sucks but it's the price of peace. Derry Girls' final episode dealt with it really well. I'm from the post-GFA generation so it was hard to get my head around it growing up but the alternative is far worse.
