  • Also, the location is the Simpsons living room.

  • People having been in his vicinity have reported a foul stench, so it's unlikely that he is assisted by anyone who does this kind of job professionally.

I would guess that he's too proud to ask for help, so he probably just trashes some restroom or bath occasionally and then denies it ever happening.

  • The plan was to go to the Titanic, which is on the bottom of the sea. Controller malfunction or not, the hull was the issue.

  • Good question. That takes a little research. You'll want to talk to a union that is capable of making collective agreements.

There are indeed fake unions out there with no other purpose than to take your money and keep you from organizing into the actual unions.

Contat the umbrella organisation if in doubt.

  • A small group of people from of a single country does not represent the entire population of the continent.

The sentence "Americans say 'aloha' instead of 'hello'* is just as right or wrong.

  • It was not Europeans. It was the British. And it was the upper class British. Specifically at the Oxford University. The people in both continental Europe and Britain always called it football.

"Soccer" is technically a slur for lower class football.

Even the British call it football now, but the soccer slur still lives on in America and other colonies.

  • American cars suck.

  • Yes, it's both taught and necessary.

It may seem excessive when you've been checking the rear- and side mirrors for a long distance and you know that nobody is behind you.. But it's also in that exact situation that you'll be surprised to see that some fucker has been cruising in your blind spot for a long time. Always check and don't cruise in the overtake lane.

  • I don't think anyone wants to be entirely dependent on someone else's income, but I do think women are more likely to complain if they're the breadwinner than men are, because of the same traditionel view. You'll rarely hear a guy say "we've grown apart" if his wife works a dead end job or has a lower education.

  • I think the last part of your sentence is a little one-sided. It takes two to form a relationship and women can be just as non accepting of non traditional relationships as men.

  • Lemmy hugged it to death

    Yeah sure.

  • The empire would never financially recover from that.

  • It can be sorted quite nicely if you get an organiser division thingy. Even if you're only going to keep one thing in each section, it's nice to have each thing in its own place. The difficulty with that is remembering where it's supposed to be, and that it takes more space.

A little basket is suitable for keeping most of those things if you simply accept that them being in the same basket is actually the correct placement for them.

  • Going to the restaurant and back is the same distance for you as it is for the driver going from the restaurant and back.

  • The guy to the right is a character from TNG season 5 episode 2.

Picard crashes on a planet with that alien guy. They don't understand each other, not because the universal translator doesn't work, but because the alien language consists of allegories that make no sense due to the different cultural backgrounds.

The meme is written in contemporary allegories. It's not gibberish. It does make sense if you know the stories of each event that is referenced.

  • Nah, it doesn't always make the news. I know of one time where they flew right over my house and there was no mention of it anywhere, so I tell this story every time anyone mentions those "routine" fly overs.

It was New Year 2019-2020 about noon.

The MIG came in from the Kattegat coast and roared through a fjord well below reasonable eardeafening altitude, which made me go outside to see what the fuck was going on. It got intercepted by one of our own F-16s and they did a few rounds of dog chasing right above my head before it flew like hell back towards Russia. The fucker must've dodged the Swedes on the way here.

Way out of line. It's completely reckless to put some kid into a machine like that and have them fly this close to residential areas. Who knows what would've happened and how many people would've been hurt if the idiot had hit a tall antenna or lost control from the g-force or whatever. They were flying low, fast and swirling like moth being chased by a flyswatter.

The Russians are reckless assholes even in peace.

  • The company tax is slightly lower. The previous poster stated something about capitalism. The best way to curb hording of capital is by the companies paying taxes.

Ordinary working people probably pay a higher tax in Sweden than in USA, but that's a different discussion.
