    But exactly what is happening in USA since there's nobody telling him to shut the fuck up? Somebody wrote this on a piece of paper for him and put it in an envelope and send it through as diplomatic post between two nations. And NOBODY at any point whatsoever had the courage to tell him what is obvious to everyone else on the planet: That these are the dumbest words every written on a piece of paper in the entire history of mankind. Really?

    I don't really think they're going to do anything just now. USA can already have all the military they want on Greenland. They're the ones who are supposed to protect it, so if they choose to attack, what the hell are they supposed to attack? The snow?

    It would basically mean that they withdraw from NATO, which is a bit over the top for putting a flag in the snow in an area they already control.

    I think that it's all a distraction. They're probably going for a surprise attack in Panama any day now.

  • It's the same grid as most of Europe. AC 3 phases 50 hz 230/400 V.

    Other places can do the same, but it's a legal issue rather than technical. It's difficult to tax.

  • Actually, they don't.

    When Denmark sold the Danish West Indies to USA in 1916-1917, part of that deal was to ratify that USA accepted the full Danish ownership of Greenland.

    At the time, this was done to keep Norway from making claims to Greenland.

    But anyway, we quite literally have a document written by USA and signed by USA stating that Denmark alone owns Greenland.

    Edit: Took some time to find, but here it is signed by U.S Secretary of State Robert Lansing who made the deal under President Woodrow Wilson.

  • I was surprised when I read about it too, but it's true, they quite literally just plug them right into the normal plugs.

    It works because there's a certain tolerance on the German breakers that allow for power to reverse. The balcony panels take advantage of this. However this also limits the possible output to whatever the tolerance is, otherwise it would overload and shut off or worse.

  • This PC wasn't for myself. The user only needs it for webmail and other browser stuff, but still insisted on it having Windows and MS office.

  • I just setup a new laptop. Straight from the store, never been turned on before.

    First thing in the Windows installation is a step called "something went wrong". Not even kidding.

    MS is slop, with or without AI.

  • I would actually see it as a positive factor. Depends on the people involved of course.

    Singles with kids are much better aware of each part needing separate time and having individual obligations, compared to someone who doesn't have kids, who might still be looking to merge into a twosomeness where their relationship is the center of the universe.

    I do have kids and am not single, so I guess it's easier to see in hindsight. I guess it could be difficult for a single parent to find a single non-parent who is on the same page in maturity and responsibility.
