A pedantic & cynical animal who is very concerned for our collective future.

  • I'ma gonna do this same thing, but with a dash o' Lawry's.

Fun read up. Feels like something I'd see scratched onto the cell walls of Martha's room, as dictated by The Fonz.

  • Waze used to have a feature where you could turn your vehicle into a little pacman and gobble up dots on the route for points.. it caused problems (obviously) but was fun.

Back in my day we used MapQuest to print out directions to whatever music festival or concert we were going to.

Why anyone would trust any of this shit is beyond me.

Get a map, on paper. Learn to read it. Krinkle it up in your friends ear and tell them it's ASMR. Maps don't sell your data, and if there's an advertisement you can draw a moustache on it. In Australia, the blank back side of the map used to have local wild edibles with pictures and descriptions by Bush Tucker Man.

  • Actually, it might've been 7 miles. Either way, 7 or 14.. it's true. Look it up :)

  • When you're traveling through the desolation that is Midwest US, you'll notice there's a lot of shell stations. They're kind of like "Casey's" (except you hear about "Casey's" more because of the pizza) located in many small towns that have only a dollar store with a refrigerated section as the only source of groceries. Food deserts full of 200 pound children riding electric scooters while staring at their phone. It's terrible.

    ..I digress

A fun fact.. in the Midwest US; the reason so many small towns are 14 miles apart is that's how far a horse could carry a full wagon in a single day. So they built train stops every 14 miles. And somehow, 125+ years later, those lil towns still exist. They grow the corn that becomes syrup in candy and soda & whatnot. Also those towns all have a "Shell" station because of some backroom handshake deals done a long time ago.

  • My thoughts exactly

  • Feel free to target me instead.

Even if you are on the up, China, we already saw how that turns out. I don't care how old you are,, China.. you're acting like a nation who just learned how to be cool & sexy.

Have some patience & blow up asteroids when you are ready...

..don't just blow up asteroids because you got into the space game hundreds of years after inventing gunpowder. We know you're cool. Just be you. You don't have to prove shit to anyone!

  • It's just a toggle related to your screen being on/off.. depending on your flavour of Linux, nay.. regardless; someone will have a patch.

This conversation helps bring eyes onto this post. One of these kind travelers will have the solution and even provide a link.

  • Nvm, next time beat me over my head with your wok before suggesting such a thing.

  • This reminds me of the new trend of kids breaking hinges and propping laptops open with fruit or whatever so they can keep AI running without "sleep" or "wake"

    The solution?

Dunno. Just wanted to share my thoughts

  • Looks great!

Might I suggest using black beans next time? Be sure to strain them and maybe fry for a few, or they'll dye your noodles black.

They'll add a nice contrast & they taste SO good in a dish like this!

  • For sure.

Stars, entropy & little bits of plastic.

Such is the cosmos, most especially on Earth

  • A small beam a bit brighter than a full moon...

Sounds to me like they want to give a suntan to the coven of witches living in my forest grove.

  • I have 83 episodes, which is nowhere near the complete series.

  • Your friend seems cool.

    Lost media is great.

It wasn't easy, but I managed to get every available episode, in decent quality.

People like to talk about how great it is that someone had most of the old doctor who episodes on tape, but at least those exist.

Space Patrol is even harder to find, and only half exist.

  • "Spaaaaace Patttrollllll!"

Heck yes, we are friends now!

I was really hoping someone else knew!!!!

  • Builds quad-bunkbed using four Alaskan king sized beds.

Queues up 'Space Patrol' (the 50's one)

Climbs up to top bunk with nose pressed against ceiling

    Join uth

  • Yo, that's the difference for sure!

  • Please tell me this applies to Grok
