  • For some reason, I have an incredibly difficult time not saying like.

I bet if there were a word cloud of mymost commonly used words of all of my posts, "like" would be the sun in my fucking word solar system.

  • I would say that I'm a good enough person.

I do the things that good people do because it feels like the right thing to do, up until the point where I feel like I'm risking overextending myself and then I stop doing that.

I feel bad when I do not do a good thing.

At the same time I know I have done bad things. I have accepted my fault in those situations and apologized to the people that I have hurt in the past and I am still trying to become a better person. So I am good enough to pass for a good person, but I am not an objectively purely good person.

But then again, no one is.

  • This was so unfunny that it went into the "funny because its a dad joke / bad joke" territory and looped back around back into just being a bad joke.

I will say the art was good, and I could see where they were going with it, and if they kept it up, they probably could come up with some good stuff, but this one was just an absolute miss for me.

  • All work and no play makes Homer go crazy.

  • Maybe taking estrogen will elevate your rank.

  • You can't manifest a Lamborghini.

But you can live with the mentality that you will own a Lamborghini one day and it will be a nice one and it will be a good one and you will find the way to make it happen, and more likely than not, you will succeed.

But it's probably not going to just fall into your lap. It will be the consequence of believing that you can do it and then acting in accordance with the idea that you can do it and therefore doing the things that you have to do in order to make it happen.

  • My username is Bizarroland for a reason.

  • True story, I once got a barks root beer and the cashier decided to put it in a paper bag like it was a real beer and while I was walking home because I lived like four blocks away from the gas station, a cop pulled me over and he was like, "what you got in the bag boy?" And I responded, "it's a beer". And he said, "why the fuck you drinking a beer walking down the street" and I'm like, "cause it's a root beer!" and he got mad at me and drove off.

And it was one of those stupid things that people do, not even a funny story, but the picture reminded me of it, but it was extra stupid because I was a brown teenager in the deep south.

  • For me, a more accurate analogy would be, why do I spend all of my time and money fixing up a 40 year old Jeep when I could take an Uber?

  • I'm one of the people that deleted my Reddit accounts and went to Lemmy. One of them was over or at a hundred K, karma, and it's just gone, other than the fact that a couple of the stories I wrote were reposted by news sites.

  • I still hold that that was Grandpa Joe's swan song, kind of like people who are terminally ill suddenly have one day where everything's wonderful and beautiful and they're coherent, cognizant and they talk to people and have a good time and then the next day they're dead.

I imagine that within weeks of the end of the film he was dead, so we should let him have his last hurrah.

  • I remember some quip about how his professor said that he was the dumbest student that he had ever had.

  • Oh, oh god no, lol

  • I released a couple of albums, unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you're looking at it, the great myspace purge of whenever the fuck that happened deleted their existence off of the face of the planet.

  • Honestly, I've never felt old in my entire life.

But just from looking at me, most people cannot guess my actual age. Part of me is starting to worry that there's a picture around here somewhere that I definitely should not look at.

  • It's weird because like my mom was a pretty terrible mom and yet because I know how evil my grandmother is like she actually did succeed at being a better mother than her own mother.

Just the bar was so low that going up three or four notches was still deeply in the bowels of hell.

Like the only thing that separates my mom from being a good mom was her own psychological issues stemming from having been raised by her mother.

If she had been able to find a good man and hold on to him to fill in the gap between what she had and what she lacked, she would have been a great mom.

For instance, my dad was a pretty good man. But he wasn't white, and so my grandparents conspired together to get my mom to separate from him and isolate her, which then led to her cheating on my dad and getting pregnant with my little sister, so she had to divorce my dad because of the shame of her own actions.

My dad was in the military and my mom got pregnant with me while they were stationed in Germany and my grandparents used the idea of me needing to be born in America to get her to come back to America.

His deployment didn't end until just before my first birthday. He got back and was immediately served divorce paperwork, and while the divorce was going on, my mom gave birth to my little sister, who is just slightly more than a year younger than me.

The really sad thing is, is my dad still loved her and probably would have figured out a way to make it work and to forgive her if she had tried, but she didn't try, she absolutely rejected him and he carried the emotional pain of that for the rest of his life.

  • It also adds some new flavor to the reason why when Gaston picked up one of her books and he started twisting it around left and right to try to make sense of it.

I can only imagine what was going through his mind.

  • To the very next letter, no less.

Could have had Bragon and Cragon as prequel's and Fragon and Gragon as sequels
