  • The ONLY reason that people beliwvebwe are a Center Right nation is because the Conservative Propaganda Machine has been spewing that for decades, with no evidence of it, and with no counter message from the Democrats. So Democrats have come to believe the propaganda, and react accordingly, additionally motivated to believe by their wealthy donors.

It they decided to actually support and promote progressive ideas, like tax reform, Medicare 4 All, student loan forgiveness, housing protection, unions, etc., they'd find a lot of support from a Center Left population.

  • Exactly. The Republican Party no longer exists. Its now the MAGA Nazi Party, and the Democrats should start routinely referring to them that way.

  • The only ones left will be Russian and Chinese moles.

  • There's a bunch - Booker (that was the whole point of the filibuster), the govs of CA, MI, MD, PA, IL, that TV sports guy, Mark Cuban, Elissa Slotkin, Katy Porter, Mayor Pete, and a lot more.

  • I have despised this craven, insipid, spineless weenie ever since he collaborated with a clumsy Republican smear campaign to ruin Al Franken's career.

Since then, he has been ineffective at best, and has been a cowardly collaborator at worst. It's time for this loser to be removed from office, let AOC take his place, and be replaced as Senate Minority Leader by someone bold enough to go toe-to-toe with the MAGA Nazis.

  • Now that every Tesla investor's worst fears were confirmed by the recent earnings call, there is almost certainly a shareholder class action lawsuit on the way. He can't claim that their losses are due to the vagaries of the stock market, they are directly tied to his personal behavior. He went on a narcissistic ego bender, throwing up Nazi salutes, waving chainsaws, and eagerly gloating about destroying the goverment and firing tens of thousands of people, among other things. It was a reasonable expectation that his behavior would have a negative effect response from the public, and damage both his, and the company's, brand image, and yet he did it anyway.

After that self-indulgent display, the shareholders aren't going to just accept their significant losses with an "Oh, well," while he continues on as the world's wealthiest man. They are going to want satisfaction. The only real question is do they sue him alone, or do they also sue the board members for not reigning him in and/or removing him? This report that they are looking for a replacemt means that they've decided to use the nuclear option, and get rid of him, hoping that will keep the shareholders from naming them as defendents, too.

Tesla is almost surely cooked by now. The damage he has done to their brand image is irreparable. The media always treated Tesla deferentially, treading lightly on any bad news, which was often. That media image allowed the stock price to inflate comically into a classic bubble.

Now his behavior has flipped the script, and his stock bubble has popped, and once a bubble has popped, it never reinflates. In the foreseeable future, nearly all media reports will focus on the negative, and the brand image will continue to be poor, and the stock will continue to have an overall decreasing trend. There is no reason to believe that the company's brand image, once flying high, will improve over the rest of the year, and future earnings calls will continue to be negative. And it isnt just happening in America. If anything, foreign markets are in even worse shape.

Yeah, he's about to get sued, and he doesn't have a single defense that could save him. This is ALL him, and the shareholders will hold him responsible in court.

Tesla will file for bankruptcy in two years.

  • Realistic? Realistically, those military leaders are not the kind of people who are just going to accept this. They have spent their entire lives protecting America, amd our nuclear arsenal from threats. I doubt they are going to just fold up in the face of comically blustery MAGA Nazi intimidation.

Pure fantasy is thinking that somehow this situation is going to resolve on its own, or believing that these guys held normal jobs, and are now on Indeed, sending out resumes, and going to job interviews.

This won't resolve in a positive direction without tough leadership, and the best military leadership in the world has been benched. I'm sure they'd love to get back into the game, especially with such an important objective in the line.

  • Tax wealth, not work.

  • Every time he replaces an experienced government leader/ worker with a loyalist, he gives the Resistance the Gift of Competence.

The military is now run by absolute morons, while the previous leadership, who is highly experienced, moral, serious, and COMPETENT, are all on our side. Do you think they are all just hanging out on the back porch, drinking scotch and waiting for Wheel of Fortune to come on? Just ignoring the oath they actually took seriously, as the nuclear inventory that they spent their lives and highly successful careers protecting, is in the hands of the most corrupt traitors in American history?

We haven't heard a word from those people, and it can't be because they just don't care. They are definitely making plans for the day that HitlerPig declares Martial Law, and suspends elections, habeus corpus, due process, etc. When they call for the current military members to make a choice between the MAGA wannabees, and operating under real military leaders, most will choose Competence over Chaos.

  • Isn't that cute, pretending we're still going to have elections.

  • Anyone who still supports HitlerPig is as much a traitor as he is. Why do you hate America, and want to destroy it?

  • Mitch McConnell had the benefit of dealing with weak, spineless Dem weenies who would roll over for him, even though they had majorities.

MAGA Nazis aren't going to be cooperative.

  • Oh, there will be consequences, count on it. Fascist regimes always collapse under the weight of their own virtuosic incompetence, because they are based on philosophy, usually seriously flawed philosophy, and not competence.

And when they collapse, the leader and his henchmen usually die very unpleasant, very violent, very deserved deaths.

  • This is what EVERYBODY doesn't understand: The DNC is NEVER going to select Bernie because he is NOT a Democrat. He is, and always has been, an Independant.

The presidential nomination is the highest award a party can give to a member, and they are going to give it to a loyal member who has supported the party, raised money for them, praised their actions, etc. Bernie has done none of that. He may caucus with the Dems, but he doesn't raise money for them, and he has often been very critical of Democrats.

He's NOT a Democrat, and there was never a time when the Democrats would give him the nomination, no matter how many votes he got in the primary. They wouldn't give him the nomination any more that they'd give it to a Republican.

  • Unfortunately, I have a feeling that i may have to call on the knowledge he's imparted, if I survive the coming nuclear apocalypse. I'll find a remote place in the woods far from everyone, create pottery and bricks, fired in a kiln fueled by my own charcoal, and build a little brick house with a clay tile roof.

  • Peanut butter is a common ingredient in some Thai recipes. It just sounds weird to people who have only used peanut butter for PB&J sandwiches.

  • Dont forget to snort the spice packet!

  • When i get to the end of a rotisserie chicken, or I've made pulled pork, i create a broth of meat, mushrooms, chopped spinach, celery, soy sauce, lime juice, and a bunch of spices like garlic, ginger, parsley, chives, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper.

Then i add the real star of the show - Korean Gochujang paste, which is fermented red pepper paste. It is spicy, but not too hot, with a really delicious flavor.

Then I add the ramen, and serve. Absolutely delicious, one of my favorite foods in the world. I just cooked up a crock pot of pulled pork, and I'll be making a big pot of soup today to dip into for the weekend. I also saved the pork broth, which will make an amazing base for it.

Dont use gochujang in a bottle, get the real stuff in the tub. It runs about $7-10 on Amazon. I've used Roland because it is all exactly the same, and Roland is among the cheapest. Publix just started carrying the tubs, but a different brand, so now i dont have to mail away for it. The new brand is exactly the same as Roland. It obviously all comes from the same factory, just different labels.

I also sometimes sautee up the same ingredients in a pan, toss in rice noodles, or drained ramen noodles, then add guochujang, thinned with a bit of oil and soy sauce, to coat it all. Also amazing.

  • "Primitive Technology." My favorite YouTube channel. This guy invented an entirely new video genre that has been heavily copied, but he is still the best by far. I could spend all day just watching him start fires by rolling a stick between his palms.
