  • I love mushrooms. They look cooked to perfection! Yum!

  • Oh interesting I want to try it against my laptop, Fedora

  • Sesame oil to finish, not under heat as it's unstable on heat. It creates that wok kay taste.

  • Id like to see Uncle Roger cook a dish on his own. He's a comedian. I don't think he can cook. Like maybe something basic.

  • You can do it! It's fairly easy. So put in the rice, preferably a day old, if not lay it out on a cookie sheet in the freezer, as it draws away moisture. Do this for like 5-8 minutes. Check on it. Then pull it out and let it come to temp. Collect it then you're ready.

Start by getting your wok or your pan hot. Do so by placing your hand near the pan to feel the heat. When it's to temp, lower the pan to medium high.

Add canola oil. Swirl it around. Long yao. Actually you know what check out Chinese demystified for fried rice we'll tell you how to do it. ❤️

  • Digging into this deeper. I love this project. Publicly sourced on GitHub and codeberg. Super cool!

  • Right! If i don't have to scroll through 40 pages of some garbage that I'm sure an AI created, i don't trust it! 😜

  • It is quite a large project to move from over ci/cd to another. I worked at EA for 13 years and we moved from Jenkins to another platform. (Jenkins suuuuucks. If you ever wonder what hell looks like, try to maintain a Jenkins instance with a shit ton of plugins, half of which are no longer maintained and you have to upgrade the instance...)

  • I used to work at a breakfast place. It really makes a big difference to be sure to add enough oil in the pan and get it hot. Nonstick, and don't touch it until the whites set on the bottom. Give it a gentle shake to see if it's stuck, if it is, get a silicone spatula and gently nudge it. Then you can practice flipping in pan if you want. I really like to utilize a lid with water, but we didn't do that, just reduced the heat a bit and let it cook. :-)

Edit: re: flipping. Really make sure you don't add too much oil because if you do, you can burn yourself. If that happens, no emergency, just place a towel on your hand and arm.

  • For a second I thought the sando was sitting in a sauce but then I realized it's just the design on the plate. 😂

  • Reminds me of when I worked for EA on the development and release engineering team and we had to scrape all of our Jenkins and QuickBuild code base to remove references of "master" and "slave" and change it to "parent" and "child" or "primary" and "secondary".

  • Awe you guys are so helpful. And it's just a pickle jar. I think i have another in the fridge. It's a good lesson though. Thank you! If anything else i was planning on putting it in a box wearing safety glasses welding a hammer with small taps.

  • Oh interesting! Then only use that jar for storage. That's a really good idea! Thanks!

  • Yeah I'm planning on getting everything out to another jar before anything

  • Okay! Sounds careful. But from what I've read could be effective!

  • What kind of string?

  • I have a diamond tipped drill bit that I use to drill holes in pots. While not the correct tool, at all, I wonder if it could work. Edit: no drill, that would be psycho. Lol

  • Cooking @lemmy.world

Dumb mistake; Glass fermentation weight stuck in jar
