You yourself are stating facts without any backup, I just wanted to make it clear that I don't necessarily refute your point, but that I've got an issue with the statistics you base your point on.
Just because you state a fact, doesn't make said fact a true thing.
Homelessness is a symptom of poverty, but many people still suffer from poverty without being homeless.
I haven't checked super thoroughly, but the statistics you linked do not make this distinction, as far as I can tell. Maybe there is other reasons for the skew in homelessness than people being in poverty. Maybe your point still stands even after checking if there's actual correlation or not.

Basically no one, all my friends live in a different part of the city.
We used to live in the same neighbourhood as children, but the housing scarcity really fragments people. Because everyone just takes whatever flat they can find and afford.
Yeah its read only, but I don't have to edit the calendars I'm subscribed to, so it works for me.
But it would be mildly annoying if I had to edit stuff in those. I'm not sure how that would work in the first place. In my case Microsoft would have to have some sort of API, even if its just CALDav, so Nextcloud could submit the changes you make. Does Microsoft even allow for something like that?
I still have one machine that runs Windows, its mostly for games, because there's a lot of setup that I don't wanna re do.
But my uni laptop runs mint, and I like my workflow a lot more. Mostly due to the file manager being a lot better, and some foss stuff that doesn't exist for windows. I still need to remote into my windows machine for CAD because that software doesn't support Linux anymore...
And my couch machine runs Linux too, but mostly because its old and slow, and doesn't run anything but Firefox and Spotify...
Idk rember exactly, on desktop Nextcloud adds a folder structure to the OSs filesystem.
On android it doesn't do that, instead you either open a file from within Nextcloud, which confuses Keepass, and Nextcloud if you change anything. Or at least the sync database feature doesn't work, or smth like that.
If I wasn't careful with adding new entries I'd get a lot of conflicts that weren't a single click to resolve.
Syncthing on Android does exactly what the nextcloud- client does on desktop. So the file is just sitting in a folder, and any changes can be ingested into wherever I have and old version of a database open, by using the synchronize with file option.
Mostly Nextcloud, for my Keepass databases that doesn't work though. Because the android client handles files completely different than the desktop versions.
So for that I use syncthing with my home server being a hub, that everything syncs to locally, if I need updates to propagate while I'm not home I VPN in. However I rarely need to do that.
There's plenty of channels doing DIY stuff with cars. Open source is indeed a rare sight though.
I enjoy Wesley Kagan a lot, although he might be too much of an engineer to qualify as DIY...
