  • Not since at least the Clinton years. The US doesn’t have a mainstream working class party.

  • Oh no!

    Anyway…

  • I want him to keep threatening to run in ‘28. As long as daddy is saying he’s going to run, the sycophants who want to claim the throne won’t dare to run against him.

The Democratic candidate should be able to walk across the finish line (assuming we still have elections in 2028 and all that).

  • I have two bottles of champagne ready to go. 🍾

  • Believe it or not, this has something to do with China trade policy. He’s rambled before about China controlling rare earth magnets. I believe magnets were specifically called out in the first China trade ”deal.”

Someone has clearly told this doddering old fool that China produces most of the world’s rare earth magnets, and being stupid, he drew the conclusion that magnets = China = bad.

Stop this ride, I want to get off.

  • Walter Reed doctors asked the president to come in so they and their colleagues could try to understand how he’s in such amazing shape.

The sad thing is that I can actually imagine KKKaroline Leavitt saying that to the press.

  • One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.

  • TNR isn’t what I’d call the mainstream media. They’re pretty upfront about their ideological positions, unlike the New York Times or Washington Post or Reuters, which twist themselves into knots trying to be “neutral.”

  • MADE IN THE USA

My goodness, they’ve found a way to open chip foundries, screen factories, and mass machining factories all within 150 days! Who needs democracy or due process or science policy when you have results like that?!

    Press X to doubt.

  • Add it to the stack.

  • I was initially suspicious after just reading the headline. But after reading the article, I am… slightly less suspicious.

She isn’t an heiress in the sense that most people would think of the term. That is, she wasn’t born into the family and has never been involved with the “family business.” Rather, she married a Walton heir who died, and she inherited her wealth from him.

All I’m saying is that, wealth and surname not withstanding, she could be a decent person with decent motives.

  • I see two possibilities:

    1. Musk finally realized that the main buyers for EVs are more left than right, and is now trying to rescue TSLA from collapse.
    2. He’s a drug-addled raging narcissist with poor impulse control and worse judgment who loves being in the headlines.

It’s actually kind of hard to apply Occam’s Razor here.

Edit: Another possibility is that Elmo learned that Trump’s people leaked (heheh) the ketamine bladder damage story to the NYT.

  • Finally, someone is doing something about the hordes of Equatorial Guineans and Togolese roaming through every major city in America.

  • Great info, thanks!

  • Interesting info, thanks.

Any idea why I’m getting 2FA messages at the alias address? Are they trying to use the alias to log in to other sites?

I’m also receiving emails from Miro on the alias. I’m not sure what if any valuable information they could get from that site.

  • It’s a small company based in a Nordic country. I’m going to give them a chance to respond to my message before I name them.

  • Ask Lemmy @lemmy.world

Credit card and email address leaked online. Charges cancelled, card replaced. What else do I need to do?
