  • I am once again astounded at how stupid people are, man. People be sending me AI-generated statements to prove me wrong all the time. I have a family member who always tries to be sly about it but I always see through it and they don't understand how I do but they sure keep fucking doing it.

  • I still use them because I like to buy products in person. Especially expensive ones. But I'm not under the illusion that anyone there knows what they're doing. I do my own research and I don't buy any service plans.

    If it's at Costco I'll buy it there because they give you extended warranties for free.

  • That's just sales in general. I remember looking for a new car at the dealer one time and told them what I wanted and they walked me over to a completely different car. I asked him what car it was and he told me it was the one I asked him about.

    I worked in sales for 6 years and was proud of my knowledge but watched my dumb and downright shady coworkers outshine me. It's depressing.

  • I really wish more people would include short summaries in their posts so I don't have to read 12 paragraphs of bloat on a heavy webpage.

    In other words: It’s a way to hedge against the DoorDash problem by hiding the meaty information on Amazon’s properties, and to keep customers visiting the retailer directly.

    Yet again it's another thing AI is ruining and another way for companies to claw back value for themselves at the expense of their users.
