When Trump dies, Vance immediately becomes the President. At most, Trump could instruct Vance in that scenario to nuke Iran. Vance would (probably) not do that. Vance could have had this conversation and agree to the idea, but I doubt he would actually follow through. Vance is a grifter at the end of the day.

Democrats’ task gets harder heading into general elections this fall. Tennessee’s 9th District, which had been the state’s only blue seat, is now rated Solid Republican by the Cook Political Report and went for Trump by 21 points in 2024.

That district was dispersed into 3 other districts. I hope this story inspires black voters throughout the south, but for the the people in Memphis, they lost. The 9th district was Tennessee's only blue district. I don't think it is coming back any time soon.
Other people going to the store doesn't stop scalpers from clearing the shelves. If they restock overnight, scalpers can and do wait for stores to open just so they can clear them out.
Logic implies that the prices are being compared to other stores.
Imagine this scenario. Private grocery store (PGS) sells bread for $5 a loaf. Municipal grocery store (MGS) sells bread for $3.50. PGS decides to cut their profits margins (citation needed) and sell at a competitive $3.50. MSG sells bread at $2.75 (after all this is 70% of 3.50). This repeats until the PGS goes out of business and the operating cost of MSG is much higher than expected.
