  • His flagrant arrogance even now is incredible.

  • Yeah I don't think that deserves much praise, personally for a company destroying regulation, lobbying to elect a despot, profiting off of sex trafficking, effectively spreading disinformation and misinformation about a wide variety of scientific fields, etc.

  • His is such a bad company but so poorly run by its dictator. He can't be ousted as he holds majority shares. It'd be funny as hell if it wasn't facilitating the progression of the end of our world. Dumping billions that could be used to feed and support people in need. Instead we got the metaverse and datacenters on every corner.

  • Same.

  • I agree with blocking, but discouraging discussion about topics that affect users is where I'll respectfully disagree with you.

  • Please please burst, AI pustule.

  • Commenting with an exceedingly narrow summary of it is even more pathetic. It wasn't ad hominem, and I apologize for not making that clear. People who live in the real world use that sort of talk as an endearing joke about naivety.

  • As I said in the post, I don't see any evidence to suggest that it is a person/troll. Its specific behaviors and actions are so narrowly scoped that it seems to be an AI agent "programmed" for establishing the bounds of a DDoS test. The periods of very intense rates of account creation to post incoherent text with AI imagery to a narrow set of communities seems to indicate token driven hostile action. Some of the comments adding to the discussion rather than dismissing the post as "feeding the troll" have been helpful.

  • Young child.

  • I don't think it is a person.

  • Mr. Four Month Old Account telling me I'm new here.

  • Property is evidence.

  • Destroying evidence, which is funny because that assumes there was any to begin with, which they can't prove.

  • That's a good point. These AI tools do make this nonsense more broadly available to folks who haven't a degree.

But also, two finger salute to that bastard Admiral Tesseract.

  • Agreed, just block the account and move on. But I was left wondering after today's outburst if this is a token generated hostile action.

  • Ask Lemmy @lemmy.world

Is Owbid Catob an AI Agent Sent to Terrorize Lemmy?

  • You could have said something as innocuous and logical as trans folks have the right to defend themselves or a thousand other violence adjacent notions. Objection to violence outright is just navel gazy utopic thinking. It sounds nice but it isn't practical reality. There is always a line.

  • Exactly, it is delusional to assume you need some smoking gun to assume intent. There are others here using that line of logic to assume no bad intent. The logic is quite clear in the screed that the tesseract admiral put out there to defend themselves.

  • Oh you did. Hmm. Thanks for posting the link, I thought it was lost by deletion.

  • You didn't see the Tesseract admin's deleted rant then huh.
