  • This is basically the dockerfile these projects provide, so I guess I could do this myself. How do you keep the caddy container up to date? I have tugtainer (something like watchtower) update caddy automatically, but I guess this set up would break that

    Its quite different from a pancake. It has more leavening and its the extra yeast that creates bubbles.

    Normally, you would use a ring/mold to get them the traditional size. This one was made in a small pan. For reference, in this one crumpet, there is the equivalent of four crumpets worth of batter

  • Honestly, I'm right there with you, but these were strawberries that would have been uneaten before I went away for a week. Baking them meant I could keep them alive in the fridge until I returned.

  • If you're more comfortable doing it another way, I totally understand preferring that route.

    That said, the documentation on this project is really good. I didnt understand ansible before picking it up. At this point, I'm not at a level where I could write a playbook from scratch, but I can certainly read through it and understand what's going on and make changes to my config accordingly.

    This playbook takes care of all the reverse proxies for you, so theres no need to do anything like that yourself.

  • I lived in the UK for a long time. My experience there a was that a good roast dinner is quite nice, but difficult to find. And when you do find one, it's very expensive. This is something I found very odd. In most other countries, popular foods like this tend to be everywhere at a decent price.

    And like you said, the variety of food available in the UK is great. I used to be able to find some pretty obscure ingredients for Asian/Mexican/whatever cuisine in any normal supermarket.
