  • I think the main advantage of air launch is there is less air in the way.If you didn't have any air resistance you could go faster earlier and reach orbit faster. This means less fuel wasted on fighting gravity, but because we have an atmosphere, there is a speed limit.

This makes it a great bootstrapping step.It's also used as a scripting language in some embedded system, it might be telescopes but I'm not sure. While forth wouldn't be my first choice there, I don't want to be able to crashed the device because I have hot swapped in a binary, compiled with the wrong flags.

This is a good thing, otherwise we couldn't have linux or wine, because they used apis from unix and windows respectively, or open source implementations of anything.If you look at how another program does something to, you are bound by it's license, but if you only look at what it does you are not.

    As someone taking a course by a postdoc, yes. Half the lectures so far where cancelled because he prefers research and conferences over the university mandated minimal amount of teaching.
