Cloudflare is a Big Tech company (first red flag) based in USA (second red flag) and Big Tech are known for giving not popular things like privacy concerns.
When it comes to Cloudflare, they decrypt your HTTPS traffic in order to process the data (a very BIG red flag). And you can't do shit about other than refuse to use Cloudflare on your website.
But how often will that happen with all the ignorant and careless people all around the world? Very rare! So I tend to just avoid the shit instead.
I replaced SearxNG with degoog on my server. Feels very much like Google, yet it is not. I did enable Google for search results and image, but it refuses to work (good). Am using DuckDuckGo and Startpage instead, through degoog, of course.
Ah, ok. Sounds like it's 2FAuth you're after. There's an app for it, too: auff. Or Bitwarden (Vaultwarden if you want everything that Bitwarden have with no paywalls.
Purely awesome app if you scan a straight paper that are not cut in any way. I miss the ability to manually crop the images. Will still use the app, though.
Thanks for recommending it 🙂 Have always used a flatbed scanner for my papers (receipts, bills, etc.), but now I can scan on the go 😊
Snikket user here, too. Have used it since maybe 2024 and are very happy. The only downside is the clients even if they are very good (especially Gajim and Conversations), but also video calls.
I got so annoyed with video calls I ended up with installing Jitsi Meet. Works like a charm with no issues with video, voice, rooms, screenshare, or chat.
So whenever I want to have a voice/video call with someone these days, Jitsi Meet is the only way to go for me. If the voice call need to have an extra layer of security, my Snikket server works good.
Just don't get a court order by Meta like the other dude that created a front-end for Instagram. Can't remember the name since it was before the pandemic. There was a lot of news about it in the FOSS community.
Aha. Then I understand your decision more :) Thank you for explaining.
