I just happened to open the repo and saw this. By now I have my own instance running too at https://stopusingx.com/, forked in https://git.prisma.moe/aichan/nitter. I will have to either sync my repo to the original or switch back to it entirely ;)
I made my own at https://stopusingx.com/ but I am having rate limit issues with the amount of use it is getting lmao. I will add more xitter accounts I guess
Hey, congrats on your first NAS! I also struggled a lot at the beginning, but once you figure out some stuff at least you achieve an stable-ish baseline. And congrats on the baby too, good luck trying to manage both ;)
Sorry but, if you can be described as both far right and far left simultaneously, I don't have any trust in you, you are more than likely a fascist. I don't know how you can cope with this additional descriptions:
they are "racists, fascists and nazis".[41] The party has also been described as far-right.[42]
the ideology differed from classical Marxism as the line of conflict for the Örebro Party doesn’t go between workers and capitalists but rather between those who are productive and those who "undeservedly" lives off of taxpayer-financed transfers.
The left-wing newspaper Flamman has described the Örebro Party as ethnic nationalist.
and lastly, and this is coming from their leader:
we must deport these damn parasites who sit and live at our expense.
I checked your source, it sounds pretty fascist to me.
Oh... It may be that, yes. Hopefully so. It still sounds weirdly worded to me, specially in the context of the article, but english is not my first language, so you might be right! ;)
Half of parents report tracking the location of their young adult child ages 18–25 [...] with more than two-thirds of parents who track saying the feature is always on.
Ah yes, I'm a 25 year old "child". What the fuck is wrong with parents in the US? Some of my classmates started being free to move unsupervised from ~12, myself from ~14 or so. You will find few 16 year olds who cannot go outside without their parents knowing the what, where or who. Any 18 year old lacking this autonomy I consider suffers a subtle form of abuse.
I have 1825 packages installed, 15 of which are from the AUR, and I use for very specific stuff, like VR. I personally know the mantainer of two of them. The AUR is cool, but should always be used with the same care as manual downloads.
They actually do, and unless you talk in code this is more akin to a second or third language, not the one you grew up with. I have personally noticed how after a year or so of using the rng machine I simply could not code without AI, and am now lucky to be rehabilitating myself. There are already serious studies about the deskilling effect, this IS how it works. "AI" (meaning the LLMs now thrown at every thinking problem) is a lazy enshittifying tool.
You are right... But I get the feeling even if what you say is correct. Knowing that your favourite tool comes from a fascist has some weight, and its very cool wanting to change and learn new things. I can recommend the Garuda Linux I use, or OpenMediaVault, but I would feel uneasy having to warn my friends like "I use this, but be aware that it is mantained by a fascist...".
There are of course many cases where avoiding tools for this reason is impractical: I use JavaScript because I don't find the web usable otherwise, even if I'd prefer not to. But with OSs there are just so many options, so why not?
Just the servers this month 31,7TiB and 3,4TiB. Yearly 563,6TiB and 54,2TiB. This does not count computers or other devices.
For a fair comparisson, take the smaller server, that one is acting as a more normal service, hosting Nextcloud and Immich among other daily life things.
Ok, fair is fair. I can imagine contexts like talking about Gaza or some other hard to read stuff where certain ways to write like furry talk would look too out of place, so I can see where you come from. But to me this is a context that is still a bit like, whatever. Just a weird character in. If that affects their credibility, welp ^^
Is there anything specifically bad about them using the thorn, other than maybe some accessibility loss? I can only find something about a random meme, so it looks to me like y'all are just petty because "omg they write differently how dare they"
It is publicly usable, so feel free ;) There are also many others available in https://codeberg.org/mv12star/shitter/wiki/Instances
