I know a kid that uses a local AI model to help him write. Where he couldn't barely communicate before.
For every social media site there are places like this or the tildeverse that let people communicate and build relationships.
For every tech bro there is a kid that doesn't feel like they belong anywhere making friends online that he finally clicks with. There is me helping some person in a chat room on IRC fix a Linux issue that I don't know and will never meet and get nothing from just because its nice and fun to help people.
Its like the silver coin bubble of the 80s. Running the same scam. Get a coin rated sell it to your buddy for a million dollars. Get headlines of coin sold for a million dollars. Then marks start rushing to get coins and more importantly get them graded and that's how they extract wealth from the economy.
The answer is it depends. I have a severe case but was lucky enough to have a teacher that taught me skills to work around my version of dyslexia. I also had a friend that raised in a different part of the country where instead of getting the help he needed.
They just stuck him in classes with kids that had intellectual disabilities and just gave up on him. I was able to finished collage and got a job in tech. he dropped out after 2 semesters and became a truck driver. Honestly of the two of us. I'm more lazy than he is but he never got the skills.
To comment on not trying new things. That may have more to do with the Inferiority complex that comes with not being to property communicate your ideas. It makes you feel like everyone will see that you are stupid (even if that is not the case but its how you see yourself sometimes). It makes it hard show yourself as a beginner when trying new things. It brings back all that trauma of others judging your intelligence growing up.
All the lines drawn by Europe's Colonial period are erased in Africa and Mid east and new lines are drawn by ethnic groups or otherwise defined by those groups. After which those new nations create a block of African Union like the European Union works.
