  • She did explicitly state that it can’t be blocked or defended against, but it comes out later that this only means through magical defense of a direct hit. It can be physically deflected - so indirectly defended against. Dumbledore uses magic to move a statue into the way and protect himself and Harry. This was in the fifth book though, so it’s definitely possible she retconned it after criticism

  • You’re definitely right about it being a poorly-contrived scoring system, but there are a few games in the books where the team lost the game but grabbed the snitch. It’s always described as a “stem the bleeding” type decision

  • I feel like the people making these posts at the beginning of DST are as confused as the pets. The clocks are moving forward, so the pets will get their food an hour earlier, by their reckoning. Doubt many pets are upset by getting food sooner

  • Wait, why do you say this? I’m no Plex shill, this is disappointing news to hear and is the strongest push toward Jellyfin I’ve had yet. But they’re certainly a business with employees they need to pay, and their app has an objectively large feature set that needs to be maintained. Their employees deserve raises and benefits, and if costs are rising at the grocery store, they’re probably rising for businesses too. Why are we stupid to believe their financial burden is growing?
