  • You keep going back to an unexisting ideological divide. I'm a communist. Most of Lemmy everywhere is socialist. That was never the issue.

    "Non communists are toxic too" is not a defense. It's an admission. Of course you'll find toxic examples in any sufficient large group of people. It's when the group culture fosters that behavior (or at least fails to curb it) that it becomes a problem.

    You're fighting hard to deny this, but think earnestly about why so many staunchly left wingers couldn't stand them anymore. It's not because they want "from each according to their means, to each according to their needs". The (stated) ideology is exactly the point of agreement.
