  • They're both technically correct, manic means both mania and the energy associated with mania.

  • The "manic" in Manic Pixie Dream Girl is not a diagnosis, it means energetic. Just like "pixie" isn't implying she's fae or something.

although Bipolar Fairy Dream Girl kinda slaps, I think that's just Tinkerbell

  • Oh you're projecting again, cute. Like literally every single thing you've accused me of is blatantly on display in your replies. I sincerely hope you one day realize that you are the problem. Nobody is being mean to you, you're just acting like an asshole and getting treated like one.

  • Why are you still trolling for dopamine?

  • Chill daddy, maybe ask yourself why people don't want to engage with you.

  • Imagine all the cool planets that'll never be observed

  • Again, not an argument. You sure seem to be projecting about strawmen.

  • I think you can just not claim the body and the government will bury it in a pauper's grave or something, but there might be some downsides to rejecting the body entirely.

  • Because I'm not arguing, genius, because a group of people that categorically reject all dissent as an appeal to nature fallacy is a group not worth engaging.

  • That's right, the anti AI people are making literally the same arguments about why writing is bad. I am so smart.

  • Uh oh, the bad faith AI bros are conflating luddites with anyone that disagrees with them again....

  • I'm certain many of the people that think PP is overexposed feel the same about TS

  • First of all, I’m not casting judgement

boy you really aren't understanding what I'm saying if you think that's how I was using "judge"

  • that's so cool dude

  • It’s really not hard to see how prominent purity testing is in leftist discourse.

That's not what I'm asking, I'm saying you can't judge now many people are not engaging in purity testing.

You could say it’s confirmation bias that I have this opinion, but I think given recent events, this opinion does have a basis of fact to it

That's exactly what confirmation bias is. "All the toupees I see are bad, therefore, all toupees are bad." Confirmation bias with a basis of fact to it, still completely ignoring the toupees you don't notice.

  • and the proof of it is still the fact no one is doing anything about it

I don't think that's accurate, there are many truths people acknowledge without taking any action to improve things.

And you are proof yourself not realizing that the teenage boys during Gamergate are about to hit their 30s soon and they didn’t stop being easily swayed misogynistic tools

Oh we're just making things up now? Okay buddy

  • and no one is willing to face facts about it

What do you mean by this? I think a lot of people can see that things aren't right with many teen boys.

  • How do you know that isn't confirmation bias? We have no idea how many leftists there are that see purity testers and decide to not engage.

  • The only thing that matters is policy, I'll work with anyone as long as it's toward an egalitarian society with wealth redistribution.

Labels are nice for classifying, but not for executing. I don't care if you identify as leftist, or liberal, or progressive; I care if you support good policies.
